How do you choose where to play?
Phenom looks pretty cool, never heard of it before. May have to check it out.
I was soured on crypto-based poker sites because I played on BetOnline years ago (2017 - 2018 or so) and saw a bad beat happen (straight flush over quads) but no one at the table got paid out. Plus the RNG definitely seemed off at the time - I'd sun run for a while, withdraw, and then get epic bad beats until I went broke.
I came to this forum looking for info on where the best online poker for US-based players can be found. I've been playing poker on and off for 15 years, recently got back into it seriously with ClubWPT Gold (saw it on either HCL or Brad Owen) and have quickly run up a small bankroll from $20 to $300 at micro stakes. Lots of newbs at low stakes makes things pretty easy, but I can't tell if some of the bad beats/patterns I've seen are normal variance in online poker or indicative of bad RNG behavior.
I'm considering taking poker seriously as a side hustle now but want to make sure the sites I play on are legit before I move up from the lowest stakes.
How do you guys determine what sites you play on and what factors do you look for? Thanks
