Spinning my way to the top

Spinning my way to the top

Hello,

I am a 34-year-old poker player trying to make a living by playing Spin & Go games. I recently completed a deal with a stable. And now starting at the 5/10€ limits. The goal of this blog is to track progress in the game, sports, and healthy lifestyle.

At the beginning of each month, I will set goals and track their progress every week. The goals will include the number of games, weight training sessions, and the average daily steps per week.

Goals for April:

4000 games
3 weightlifting sessions per week
Average of 10k steps per day

My plan is to play Spin & Go tournaments in the Winamax room, starting with a €5 buy-in. I will also play 3-max hyper turbo MTT tournaments "Trident," and I will track their buy-ins and cashes as well.

My goal is to take a shot at the €50 limit by the end of the year, while also maintaining my training regimen.

Why have you chosen Spin and Gold tournaments? It seems like this knowledge of this game format is inapplicable to many other disciplines - are you concerned about only ever being able to play Spin and Golds? Have you planned for if the format dies (similar to HUSNG 5 years ago)?

Good luck with the grind

Good luck with the grind

For the last 10 years, before I started playing Spin & Go, I played MTT tournaments. However, after switching to Spin & Go, I noticed advantages such as easier time management, the ability to take breaks between sessions, and also much lower variance (since I play in a pool, I haven't had a losing month in over a year and a half). If the Spin & Go format were to die, I believe I would quickly switch back to MTT.

Thank you!

Weekly Goals (April 1 - April 7)

  • 1000 games
  • 3 Weightlifting Workouts
  • 10k daily steps

I’m starting at the €5 limit, playing 2-4 tables. I also forgot to mention that I play in a pool. I plan to track my bankroll, deposits, and cashouts.

Bankroll: €150

I am playing in Winamax room where the main currency is euros. I agree that 30 buy-ins is a bit low, but if i bust, I'll deposit more.
Also, in the next few days, Winamax should offer a reload bonus, so I plan to deposit another 200 euros.

Yeah wina makes sense. Games are probably the best ones out there and you can easily run 30 bins to the moon.

Weekly Recap (April 1 - April 7)

[x]1000 games ( 400 5s and 600 10s)
[x]3 Weightlifting Workouts
[x]10k daily steps (10110steps/day average)

For the first two days, I started quite successfully with the 5s limit, and I also deposited 200€ to get a reload bonus. So, on the third day, after reaching the 600€ bankroll, I switched to the 10s limit and managed to do it successfully. As of today, I no longer play 5s.
I also rode my bike 3 times and overall cycled 110 km. Because of that, the daily step count is a bit lower than usual. I managed to complete all the planned weightlifting workouts. So, I would consider this week successful both in terms of sports and poker.

5€ 400 games 91.81 Chip/game 325€ Net won
10€ 600 games 59.85 Chip/game 1350€ Net won

Bankroll: €2255.87
Deposits: €200
Cashouts: 0

Trident MTT's (buy-ins/cashes) : €430/€600.87

Weekly Goals (April 8 - April 14)

  • 1100 games
  • 3 Weightlifting Workouts
  • 10k daily steps

For next week, I’m adding 100 games to my goal. I still feel like I’m struggling with multi-tabling, playing 2-3 tables at once, while my goal is to consistently maintain at least 3.
