Idaho murder case
Is anyone else following the Idaho murder case? I first heard of it sometime in November from former Big Brother winner Derrick Levasseur. It seemed to grow as a big murder mystery case in the past weeks.
Since they caught Bryan Kohberger as their suspect, I have been quite captivated by all the news. There is just so much creepy details about the guy, that I have to believe 100% that he did this and there is nothing to really doubt. The evidence as is in incriminating enough, but I'm sure further details will solidify things even more.
Has anyone been keeping up with this case?
The murders happened on Nov 13/22. The trial is set to take place in August. It seems like alot of new YouTube content has come out lately to discuss it.
From what I've heard there is alot of new evidence and the defense is trying to get it thrown out. Just in my personal opinion its all really incriminating, much like all the previous evidence has been up to this point. Some of the newer stuff I've seen includes:
- The thumbs up selfie taken the morning after the murders. This is a guy who really lacks social skills and is not very expressive. But to have a picture taken showing stong happiness at that time is quite a co-incidence. I've also seen a comparison to Ted Bundy giving that gesture in the courtroom as well and how Ted Bundy may have been an idol for BK.
- Amazon searches for a Kabar knife after the time of the murders, after one was previously purchased on Amazon. Where is that original knife? Why the need to search again?
- An alibi of him going out driving to look at stars that evening, when it was a cloudy evening.
- Him writing a college paper about a murder scene involving a woman who was stabbed to death. Could this scenario have been a fantasy for him that he has had in his mind for awhile?
Just my opinion, I think it would be extremely wild if this guy was found not guilty. I'd have to expect that this guy is going to die by firing squad. I can only wonder if he will eventually confess to this before his execution.
To clarify my point regarding BK searching for a replacement Kabar knife after the murders, I didn't mentioned he had already purchased a Kabar knife from Amazon 8 months before the murders occurred.
"Lost it hunting."
I still follow it pretty closely. I DVD Banfield every night on NewsNation because if something comes up she’ll talk about it.
I still haven’t heard about the DoorDash delivery that happened right about murder time. I’m curious about that.
And DM being on Instagram from 9:05-11am in her room after seeing what she saw the night before. That’s college girls these days.
I mean there were screams that you could hear outside the house on someone’s doorbell camera. It had to be horrific and loud inside the house. And the amount of blood. I mean that **** was coming out of the side of the house by Xana’s room.
Kohberger’s guilty probably but there are so many unanswered questions. I get tired of some of the exaggeration out there. I mean did y’all see this the selfie he took at around 10:30am. It’s supposedly after a shower. That’s over 6 hours after the murders were committed. Wouldn’t he have showered much earlier? I know he threw out his clothes supposed buy I think someone with bad OCD would have showered right away. I know I would lol.

Wouldn't someone with OCD shower multiple times after committing murder?
Yea, DM is the worst, locked herself in her room, which is fine but then just texted with friends and insta all night instead of calling the police.
Then in the morning (late morning) I think she invited some Friends over and none of them looked in the rooms but saw one of victims on the floor and thought she was passed out (no blood?) and they call 911 and start passing the phone around like hot Potatoe to the 911 operator.
Um, Um, Um, each one less coherent.

I came across a video on YouTube from a channel called Crime Circus where the person talks about BK being innocent and speculates on a nearby house. I'm not familiar with this YouTuber so I'm not sure if these are serious ideas or it is supposed to be satire. The video says that the car captured in the surveillance cameras is not BKs, but this is the only place that I've heard that.
This is the only video I've seen where anyone would speculate on BK being innocent. All of the evidence so far really seems to point to him. Mainly the DNA on the knife sheath. But also the car caught on video. Bushy eyebrow description as well as height and build. The multiple cellphone pings in the area. Lack of alibi.
There is so much more that I'm not sure about as well. There was a BK IG account that followed and liked photos of the victims. I'm not sure if that was real though. I'd also be curious about more of BKs browsing history; especially related to the victims.

I listened to that 911 call and it was a bit weird how they callers didn't mention the murder scene. Rather someone passing out and not waking up. Maybe they just had a hard time verbally saying it because of how much shock and trauma they were in. I don't know. I'm curious as to who was the first person to actually see the murder scene and make that discovery. I'm guessing the girls were too scared to go upstairs, so maybe they sent a male friend to go up and check.

Is 10:30 the EXIF data on the selfie or is it the time he posted the selfie?
I dont know much of the case, from what i read, like I said earlier, they have his DNA at the house, they have his actions pror to the murder with the build up/motiv and they also have the DNA that matches,
I could be wrong but thats what I thought.
for the person beingin that house, Ill takea stab at dfending the actions I guess. i did think its ****ed up whe I furst heard but if you now thats going on your brain just shuts off and does weird things, its notlike there was a 3-4 instances whre something is fishy and tehres ton s of red flags as to why this person just didnt call the clp that night. imo, its that the brain prolly shuts down or just have a breakdown.
if its true they knew it was going on that does make it kinda more weird withotu calling cops but again, I dont know all teh facts of the buildup that igt
its just really unfourtante and shitty what happened. I hope justice is served asd is factual

I do know that many of the Kohberger IG accounts were created after the murders and after he was arrested. You know….idiots out there. I’m sure we’ll find out if he had a real IG account at the trial. I’m sure he did.
And if he followed the girls, that doesn’t mean anything. Lots of college guys follow hot college girls they don’t know. Now if he messaged them, that’s a different story. Even liking pics doesn’t mean a lot.
As far as the selfie infront of the shower, that doesn't mean he just finished showering. Maybe he showered much earlier and then went to the bathroom a bit later and took the selfie.
As far as new/recent information like the selfie, 911 call, college paper I'm wondering if there will be any more new information to come out before the August trial or if that is the only info to be released until the trial?
Does anyone know? I'm not really familiar with following court cases so I don't know the protocols for information to come out to the public.

His hair looks wet to me.
A lot of interesting info came out in the hearing recap from a few days ago. At 8 min. mark we learn that DM was hammered.
She wasn't just out drinking, started early and drinking most of the day and especially toward the end of the night.
She is the only eyewitness, yea it's important. It also might somewhat explain her strange behavior of locking herself in her room, not call the police and texting friends all night and then acting all incoherent on the phone with 911 when they finally got around to calling.
Saw this video just now of BK trying to delete his Amazon search history for the knife. Prosecutors seem to have more than enough to convict this guy.
BK is cooked based on the videos I've seen lately. Just some new info regarding the case:
-the Kabar knife was indeed ordered by BK on Amazon and delivered to his parents house. Yet he is unable to produce the knife.
-his history on Amazon shows he was looking at Kabar knives again after the murder took place.
-the purchase was made with a giftcard that BK had purchased.
-BK was found searching how to delete your Amazon search history.
-BK has failed to produce an alibi and the defense is saying that he was out driving to do some star gazing. The phone experts will be able to search whether BK had any star gazing apps on his phone to verify whether this is indeed a hobby of his or not.
-BK's banking transaction history changed around the time of the murders. He was previously using his credit card. Around the time of the murders, he switched to doing bank cash withdrawals.
-There was talk of BK possibly searching the murders online before the crime was announced to the public, since the 911 call was made sometime the next morning. If this is shown, he is cooked 100%.
According to Grok, the part about him searching online about the murders before they were called in to 911 the next morning was only presented from X posters and no news or court documents have corroborated it.
I am still fascinated by it. Keep in mind, the one time I almost got on jury I honestly told the lawyer I am such an incredibly skeptical person that I will always be able to find reasonable doubt. Then was told to go home.
This is not a graduate student in criminology trying to commit the perfect crime and messing up. This is a graduate student in criminology who had intended to focus on helping police departments with digital evidence, commits a premeditated multiple murder but does literally nothing to cover his tracks.
How can he not know to leave his phone at home?
What is the motive again for all this? Someone didn't follow him back on instagram?
None of it makes sense to me. It is such an intensely personal crime of passion. If he was sexually obsessed with one of the girls then there is always some sexual aspect to the crime.
The car is really my biggest issue though. I know nothing about criminology but know from just watching Mafia documentaries that the car is a huge problem for him. He would be absolutely covered in blood and there would be so much DNA in the car that it would be impossible to wipe the car completely. How is there no victim DNA in the car then? He would know the car is a huge problem and again, he does basically nothing. Drives the car across country of all things.
The whole case is endlessly fascinating on many levels, especially the sociology surrounding and reflected in the case.
At this point, if he did it or not really doesn't matter anyway. He is going to fry either way. At the society level, it is such a horrific crime someone has to fry ASAP.
