New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I haven't been to Jimmy John's in ages, but went today, and I guess they can toast their subs now. It was pretty good.

It's sad that they don't have green peppers but Subway does.

AMAZING UPDATE

So I was near a bk, looking to customize my burger. What do I find? HOT OFF THE BROILER as an option in the app!

I did it, and I could tell the difference right off the bat! I think the effect wears off a bit once you get done with half the burger, but I highly recommended it.

Also, it didn't seem to take any longer than normal! The BK was kind of busy in the drive thru, but I did it finally!

Cherry pepper relish is the way. Jersey Mike's FTW.

I love that stuff! Especially on the Italian.

The IHOP $6 deals are great value! e.g. 2 eggs, 2 bacon/sausage, 2 pancakes

Just don't add any sides (hash browns $5, Drink $4)

Here in the south, I'd rate the big chains as

1. Jersey Mike's. Get the cheesesteak and ask for half american and half provolone. Thank me later.

2. Publix. The new soft sub rolls are really good.

3. Firehouse

4. Jimmy John's

100. Subway

Dang, I was planning on Wendy's for dinner but now I kind of want Jersey Mike's

Had a giant #13 Mikes way for dinner, hit the spot.

That is precisely exactly my go to... #13, Mike's way...
The Giant is a big boy wich... I can only eat the half.

order you sum 99 and thou shalt receive all the ingredients of 43 chipotle cheese steak mixed with 56 big kahuna complete with additional shrooms and jalapeno

as always please be cautious identifying as a half-provolone in certain notches of the bible belt

it keeps well if you order the oil and vinegar on the side.. if you're on a diet or something. I did get to eat half my wife's #8 after easily crushing my own.

seems you cant go wrong at Mike's with an Eyetalian or a Philly Steak

gonna RNG it up and get one tomorrow

Only had a steak there once and it was super bland and boring. Rather go to a cheesesteak place for that.

Elite!!! Great option! Thanks for the heads up.

I’ve been getting Whoppers off the broiler since at least 2005.

Agree with your list, might actually flip 1 and 2 but it is close

I’m at Publix like 5 times a week, I’ve yet to see this, love publix

Not having a cheesesteak place handy I had a #56 for lunch and it was quite satisfactory.

I can't be 100% certain, but it seems like my local BK doesn't start making your online order until you show up to pick it up.

Wish I could get chee'burgers off the broiler.

I have 99 reasons not to get all the ones above Subway. For example:

1. Too expensive, no drive thru.

2. No idea who that is, there isn't one here.

3. I know who it is, but there isn't one here.

4. No green peppers and no drive thru.

But Subway doesn't even use real bread.

p4b is an amazing contrarian on account of he consistently supports the exact opposite opinon from every one else in the thread
yet it is impossible for him to leave fingerprints on any of it

We as a thread really need to send p4b on a trip to the big city, where all preconceptions about fast food he's never had can be put to bed, one by one. Subsidized, so he doesn't have to stick to the value menu or settle for Subway. A veritable smorgasbord of the finest drive-thru delights this country, this USA#1, has to offer.

If we could get McMuffin to tag along this would be the most epic thing since the original Fast Food Rounders.

I've had the idea for a fast food road trip. Not sure where to start, but I googled something and this chain called biscuitville which is apparently all over north carolina. they do both mcdonalds style hash browns and potato wedge type fries which look to be extra crispy which I love:

As an example, north carolina gives you cookout, Bojangles Hardee’s Krispy Kreme Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q Biscuitville Zaxby's

charlotte has jack in the box AND a whataburger? also culvers, chic fil a and habit. freddys frozen custard

of all those i've only been to JITB, CFA, habit, and KK.

I don't really want to fly to the east coast, I do know there are a couple well known fast food alleys in the midwest, which would also maybe give the chance to add on a theme park.

Culver's is really good. I wish there was one closer to me.
