Hello
I have played many years plo, mostly 6-max cash at micro/low stakes. Some shots to plo100-1k but have been busted millions of times. I think i have played +2M hands lifetime, but not making any money of it (nor loosing). last year, I focused to 6 max and put lot of effort, study and played at GG for 400k hands, but the rake just destroyed it. Now Im focused to play heads-up and have done some study. This game format is actually the best format I can imagine in poker and love it. Always liked hu more than 6max. It feels way much more poker and it goes deep sometimes what I do like.
Would like to play in euro sites, but there is no HU. Only stars got it, but its zoom and that's not what HU should be.
Now Im playing in one club with 60% rb. Let's see where this goes. Rake have been 22bb/100 for now, but happy to get 60% back. I made $500 depo and atm br is $2,8k.

I created those (Filters>Custom Stats). Both Data type is Number. If you rail other players and take hh's, then it will be universal rake/bb not only hero's

I have played now 20k hands HU stakes $0,64 up to $3,2 and sitting in tables many many hours waiting for action. HU 4-6c feels very good, like nobody gives me a hard times, only deck but im very calm and tilting is more like a memory. But the result is very bad afterall. But yea 20k hands is very small sample.
Rakeback $2,4k and +$800 from games total atm. Rake in bb/100 is 23 and still beating it, but IMO I should do muuuch more.
Action is kinda hard to get, specially in 4c. Many regs tend to play <10 hands and quits. Sometimes I can make hundred hands vs regs before they quit.
Maybe Coinpoker would be where to get more action. But would like to go for ETA site. Hopefully Stars changes someday their game selection for hu players

Thoughts about HU
Rake
- After rb/bonus, houses cut is something around 8-20 bb/100 in the scene on low/mid stakes. Ofc its important to get it close to 10 bb. Rake is not so hard to beat in HU. And think about highstakes, where rake could be like 0,1 bb/100. There you would print with 3bb winrate before rake lol. Ofc low winrate generates high variance.
- Im pretty sure that I can do at least 30 bb/100 before rake in low/mid stakes. Regs dont play with me as much so mostly "not so good" plrs sits front of me.
Self control
- Things can change in HU very shortly. I have lost 10 bins in 30-40 hands couple of times while having this blog. Playing A-level game in hard times where you cant win a single showdown and every bluff goes wrong for a while. Its a major thing to be able to keep your focus and not to be frustrated
- Making mistakes as human is normal. Get the max value for learning new aspects when you do mistake and learn from it. Analyze your losses and seek could you have lose less
Creativity
- Learning your opponent behavior and adjusting your playstyle for certain player. Learn which spots you can hit your agressivity to get best winrate. Most ppl tend is that they lack of capability to see a whole picture of the game
- Most profitive spots is when you get into opponent mind and making them angry / close for tilt
- Study and try different things. When you are creative, its challenging to be adjusted
- Timings are very good information in low/mid stakes

GG is not offering HU, so dont have to concider that in any way. Even if they does offer HU, I wouldnt play there anyway with that rake structure 😃
