[Phenom Poker] Official Thread
Welcome to the official thread for Phenom Poker! My name is Michael Dunlap and I am part of the Phenom team, focusing on

NEW FEATURE: Desktop Table Refactor
Over the last several months, we've been hard at work iterating on what we called v1 of our tables, going through a complete refactor (overhaul) of the entire experience. As of today, we're thrilled to announce the culmination of that hard work, as we release v2 for desktop (mobile to follow), the next generation of play at Phenom Poker.
What's New?
Overhauled UI/UX
Almost everything on the table has been enlarged and/or slightly moved, in an effort to eliminate dead space and improve readability with less overlap. Action buttons appear above the player name on each nameplate, keeping the name and stack values visible.
Hamburger Menu
We've moved the menu to the upper right corner, which will expand and contract as you interact with it. You'll find options such as table info, hand history, tile tables, sit out options, general settings and leave table.
Improved Chat Functionality
Chat is now handled as a slide-in module that appears above the action. Simply click on the bottom left corner where the icon is and you can chat without leaving the action. Chat bubbles appear above player names and a red dot will indicate if there is new chat to read.
Table Tiling
Like to multi-table? We've installed a one-click table tiling feature that will get all of your tables in their spot.
Ease of Future Improvements
This refactor clears the way for future improvements that our community has requested, like double board games and run it twice.
FAQ
Q. When is mobile coming?
A. It's already in development! The good news is the desktop refactor was the bulk of the work, mobile will not take nearly as long.
Q. Do the tiled tables pop to the front?
A. They do!
Q. Wasn't there a sound settings option coming?
A. Yes! It's on the way and should be in an upcoming release.
US players welcomed?
Yeah I got on the site today from the US no problem.
The software is great and the rake-sharing feature is an extra incentive to play there. I can't wait for there to be more players, I may have to approach their team with a marketing proposition of some kind since that's my day job.
I would advise anyone to avoid this site until they openly release hand histories. There is a whale running around the lobby for days now crushing regs from 200-2k , this guy wouldn't last 1 hour on any proper site. Obviously no way to analyze whats going on because there are no HH's available.

go to settings, table, then open hand history
I'm referring to a downloadable one, not this crap.

I think some of the problem with the RNG is the software deals very slowly compared to some other sites that deal very fast, so on the slow sites like this one and ignition it takes longer for some guy's good run to end. No I don't know if that is the problem but I'm thinking I never see stuff like this on a site that I play that deals twice as fast as this one. But I always felt the same way on ignition cuz I felt that site was rigged cuz it was incredible how a guy just hit hand after hand after hand for such a period but then you just realized 2 hours later it's only been about 110 hands because the site deals so slow
It's worth noting our RNG has been tested and certified by Gaming Labs, an industry leader in this business. It was originally certified back on March 27, 2024 and was re-certified on March 4, 2025. Here's the info if you'd like to review: https://access.gaminglabs.com/Certificat...
As for someone running hot and winning pot after pot, I think the best way to answer that is, "that's poker baby."
In all seriousness, if you feel there is something more than variance happening, please feel free to reach out to me and I will research it.

I have reached out on numerous occasions. I have sent a bunch of hand histories in. You guys give the same answer it's variance. Now like I said there's a difference between dealing fairly and dealing randomly. You guys always like to use our random generated deals fairly. But I've spoken with people that certify random generators they say as long as everybody's getting for example more flushes than they should it's then Fair. But if it was randomly dealt that wouldn't happen. But if you take the amount of time someone's supposed to hit a flush as long as everybody's hitting a flush as an example more often it's still then technically fair. I was told years ago when there's not a lot of traffic on a site you will see things that you wouldn't normally see it other times. I wish I had saved that email
There's nothing rigged about the site. I play here daily. I lose, and I win as I should. I've played on all the sites since 2007 and poker hasn't been this fun since the full tilt/stars days. I've never felt safer playing poker online. It actually feels like i'm playing against humans again and is the closest experience I've ever had to playing live poker, online.
The team is extremely responsive any time there is an issue, they release updates at least 1-2x's a week.
There's no deposit/withdraw limits, no rollovers to prevent you from cashing out YOUR money when you want it, the site never has control of your funds, they give players ownership as you grind. You really think they did all of this effort to make the playing experience for players top notch and then have some random "whale" as you put it running around super using come on dude. They have 50/100 and 150/300 games running with some of the biggest names in the world. The CEO sits in the games and loses just like everyone else. They're working on downloadable hand histories and have been one of the most transparent sites to date that I've ever played on, but tournaments and new software has been the priority for the past few months. You ran bad or played bad and lost fair and square. That's poker, but taking shots and trying to hurt a business because you lost money is insane work with literally 0 proof.
Show me some hands that are suspicious. You can look at your hand histories even if you can't download them at the moment. Take some screenshots of "suspicious hands" and post them here.
Any estimate on when you're gonna have MTTs available?
Our developers are working every day to create MTTs and SNGs. We want to make sure that we provide a fully tested tournament experience for all of our players and will announce a launch date as soon as we can
Is a HUD allowed?

Nobody is saying it's Rigged. I am saying computer programs have limitations. And they act differently when there's 100 people playing compared to when there's 100,000 people playing.b I had a stretch playing the same guy and he got his money in somewhere around 20 times with less than a 15% chance to win and won all 20 times. I'm saying no way. I mean workout the odds on that you probably got a better chance of hitting the lottery then having something like that happen. And I sent them all the hands they just don't want to deal with it

You can also copy the hand history ID and look it up in the hand history player for later review as well.

Post the hands, man. I would love to see all 20 of them.
No HUD right now, and there isn't a good way to get text versions of hand histories at the moment.
But even if there was, I can't imagine HUDs would be allowed. If enough players want a HUD we could probably do a vote, but I don't think the majority would vote in favour for it. Also, most of the games that are running are different mixed games, and there aren't even trackers that support a lot of the games.
I honestly would like a built in HUD to show simple stuff like GG does. VPIP, PFR, 3bet etc. would be nice. However, the team is hard at work with tournies, and this would be a nice-to-have way done the road, I would think.
There is no downloadable hand history though. How would I post hands?
But I give will give you one of my favorites from memory. I'm playing this guy heads up I have ace 665 with two hearts in pot limit Omaha. The flop comes down six four Queen with two hearts. I bet the guy raises I re-rays we get it all in he has King 10 9x. Yes you read that right Queen 65 flop this guy gets all in with King 10 9 and I forget what the other card was but it was not close to what the board was. He hits perfect runner runner for a straight. So I got a set I have the flush covered what the hell is he shoving his hand with? Nobody knows and hits perfect runner runner straight. I actually reported the guy because he had hit like 15 hands in a row on me just like that. He had no hearts so no flush draw no straight draw not even a pair. What was he calling with? No clue but that was one of the hands I had actually sent to the site and I said to check a few other hands from the same player. And of course they give me the same answer they always do. Now once again I am not saying the site is rigged I'm saying they at phenom poker have even told me they're a different levels of certification you can get for your random generator. And I'll bet you most people don't know that. Some sites have better levels of random number generator certification than other sites.

Please note that I've moved a couple of the recent o/t posts to the "Rigged? Debate" thread in DoPS, as they are more suited to it. Please feel free to debate jungmit's "different RNG" comments there, rather than disrupting this thread.
Thank you.
no, ty, Mike!
I left online poker bout 2 years ago due to the rampant cheating. RTA, bots, collusion.
a player owned poker website sounds promising. But does anyone know what countermeasures Phenom poker uses to combat cheaters?

They require KYC before you can sit down and play is the first thing that comes to mind. Rather than at cashout. Cheaters are banned and placed on a public blacklist board w/ their KYC'd info. They are extremely responsive to the smallest issues. I've never seen a poker site so responsive. They are in Discord answering questions, helping, and fixing issues what seems like 24/7.
It actually feels like you're playing against humans. People chat at the tables, players use real 3d avatars of themselves. They have a built-in feature to create a 3d avatar of yourself. High stakes require real name displayed. Lots of things make it feel like actually playing live poker.
Is the desktop app expected to be launched any time soon?
They've said they are working on it, but haven't given a date or timeline. They are mostly putting ALL their resources on STTs and MTTs.
Honestly, this site feels really good in a web browser. The only thing I think is missing is a table popup feature when it's your turn to act and they don't need an actual desktop app to get that to work. It's just a feature they haven't added yet.
Why do you want a desktop app? What does it give you that a web app doesn't?
Even PokerStars has been working on a web version now after the desktop app.
