Moderation Questions
The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
Every time a mod quits, it's a real chore to find someone take over. And each time someone agrees to be mod, that person usually regrets it within a few weeks. It must be the adrenaline overload. It's really too much to handle.
What a ****ing joke.
coordi seems to be doing well, and unless I'm mistaken he doesn't seem too stressed out.
So much THIS! I've ridden buses for decades and have never had a major problem myself nor have I seen very many incidences.
Some folks just feel soiled being around poor folks I guess.
Where have you been riding the bus?
I took the buses and trains extensively in Portland in 2020-2021 and I was amazed by the crazy stuff that happened.
The first time I ever took public transit in Seattle, about two years ago, was also the first time I ever had a gun pulled on me.
Seriously, I mock the people who talk about cities like Portland and Seattle turning into war zones, and I'm out in the city after 10pm several times per week, but the public transit is not for the faint of heart.
Man, these horror stories about the buses are probably why the female drivers keep crying and crashing them (when they're not busy playing candy crush or gossipping with their friends on their phones, that is). Amirite, mongy?

Most people find it to be highly annoying. A few find it to be only mildly annoying, mostly because they dgaf.
No one, and I mean no one, not one single person ever, has found it to be an adrenaline rush.
We are going to Iceland this summer. We will be renting a transit van with a bed in the back and driving the Ring road. It is safe there to just pull off on the side of the road and sleep. Can you safely do that in San Diego or anywhere in the US? Maybe in Wyoming or Montana. I suppose there are other red states that are safe. I was gonna include the Scandinavian countries but
In the late 90s I did that sometimes in NYC and Hoboken. I never felt unsafe, but it was a bit too noisy to get solid sleep.

I'm not sure that's right because several ex-Pol mods here were eager as hell to mod again on other forums.
I don’t know, Rococo. I personally loved being bitched at and called names and accused of thought crimes over Pm.
This is the only online community where the mods routinely get bullied by users, it's fascinating.
Mong is quite plainly, well, a complete mong, but hiw, you seem to be putting in an extra effort to come across as an odious individual. Or does it just come naturally?
HiW is a previously permabanned user, amirite?
jaun valdez was banned numerous times much to his chagrin, but I'm not sure he was ever permad and then unbanned. His idea of citing support for his race claims was usually posting a link to an hour long Jordan Peterson video.
This thread has taken an amusing turn.
There's been so much bullying and badgering because bullying and badgering was the dominant method of doing politics in these parts. It was considered good and mod led for along time. Nowhere near as bad now but there's a few left and minimal new influx of posters.
Beyind that it's just that politics is a topics that tends to anger. It's not just here.
