JJ mega spot pre in double straddle pot
1/3 NLHE 9 handed
Table is a mix of nits, one good TAG, whatever I am, and a few LPs. So-so game. Some 3-betting going on, average stack around 500$.
V1 - very studied TAG, someone I try to avoid, seems to be crushing our game lately for the past month or so. MAWG. Tightish pre and not out of line but can take some huge bluff lines post. He has a limping range pre thats linear with his RFI range. Covers. UTG+1.
V2 - asian OMC. Very OMCish. 180$ LJ.
---
UTG straddles 6, V1 double straddles 12 (gets option), V2 calls 12, H sees J♣ J♥ and opens to 50 off 750$ eff with V1, V1 calls 50, V2 limp jams 180....

Gross. Can he have AK/AQ? TT?
Regardless, I probably call to bring V1 along. I see no reason to try to get it head's up because we want V1's money. The other option is just sigh-fold and move on.
seems like a call. i dont think your range is capped here either.
ok V1's flat caps them more often than not - top of their range is a topic of debate though but more often than not i'd say
V2 limp jam without having seen them do this any other time and if they are in fact an OMC - we can call but its a dry sidepot and more likely to slow down post flop action rather than afford us as much opportunity to stack V1 on favorable runouts.
i dont like folding (jsut cuz i didnt drive over to a casino risking arguments with my wife about playing poker to fold pre flop) but this spot really ties us up as far as how we can extract necessary value, which ... and i hate to say, might make folding a solid option. We're basically 20% to OMC range and only way to encourage some post flop would be call here and hope V1 continues. That said SPR sucks but I like our equity vs V1 but the overlay REQUIRES we get more cash in there.
I dont know, folding now isnt terrible considering we have no certainty there will be any action post flop to overlay our likely ev loss in main pot.
