I thought we might like to have a Steam offers catch-all thread, and maybe even any general discussion about the service
The Masters got me wanting to play some computer golf again. I haven't touched that since like Links LS or whatever. Is there something that I don't have to pay $60 for that is a good golf game that lets me play lots of different courses or even has a course designer within it on Steam?
Eh, I already have that. I'm looking for at least semi-realistic golf, not mini-golf, but I appreciate the suggestion.

I don't know about Steam, but if you have GamePass Ultimate, you can play EA PGA Tour.
I got Ratropolis for like 4 USD on sale and I'm having a surprisingly great time. The game is a weird hybrid of sidescrolling citybuilder/horde survivor (think Kingdom: Two Crowns) and a real-time roguelike deckbuilder. That's a lot of words, but the gameplay is actually really addicting. After my first 2 runs I thought I was gonna quit due to how chaotic everything seems, but once all the systems started to click it became super fun.
Yes! I only just started playing, but I can tell just from the soundtrack I'm going to love it.

I almost insta-purchased when I saw the art, which is in the style of Marc M (of Sick Animation fame). I am a little disappointed that it is a copy of his style and not actually by him. Anyway, the game looks interesting. Added to the list!
I'll add it. Grayscale scheme entirely seems... like it is difficult to read. But deckbuilders have really become my jam.

Not familiar with Sick Animation - don't see much similarity based on the few videos I looked at on his channel though, but I'm no expert 😀

All text is black on white, so I've not had any issues with readability. There's also an option to get bigger cards, though I haven't tried it.
Clair Obscur is a beautiful game .I don't often describe games that way, but it really is. The character and level design, the writing, the combat, the voice acting - beautiful. This is what craft looks like on a video game.
Also giving Clair Obscur a shot since it's on Gamepass - certainly looks really good and I love the voice acting. Combat is fun - the timing takes a bit of getting used to but it's getting better.
Only negative (for me) is that I don't usually like games that are so cut-scene heavy - I could never get into the Metal Gear Solid-games I've tried for that reason, so wondering how it'll play out here.
There's a demo out of a game called Wordatro. It's a cross between Balatro and Scrabble. Pretty fun if you like word games with a little strategy thrown in.
Started playing GOW Ragnarock finally. Really enjoying it, but then said, "Wait, I've never played the originals."
So put it to the side and started with the OGs. Got through 1 and 2 and they were pretty good, but holy crap, GOW3 is amazing so far.
Word on the street is we could be getting a Silksong release date very soon, and possibly even a shadow drop.
In the meantime, I started playing this demo and it's really great. Awesome soundtrack and artwork. Combat and platforming is simple, but I haven't got to a boss yet, so we'll see.
DS2 is getting solid reviews. I think my order of games I need to play right now are
Ragnarok, then Vallahala DLC

GTA6
Once GTA6 comes out, there is nothing else.
