Would have missed half of this post had I not quoted it and seen the squiggly RED underlining.

(After noticing that, my original intended post shriveled up to nothing.)

I really want.....Vikings to decide to stick with JJM, Saints to drift Sanders (sorry), and then the rest of the QB teams to draft Dart, Milroe, Ewers etc in 2nd and 3rd and tell Rodgers 'we're good' so that Rodgers only option is the Browns on a minimum

And now the Browns are out. FLACKS is BACK babyyyyy

feel like the Steelers are definitely taking one of Dart or Milroe at some point

Tyler Shough is getting a lot of buzz which makes no sense to me. He's older than Trevor Lawrence. And looking at his game he basically seems to me like older more injured Will Levis.

LMAO

Conversely, I haven’t heard a positive report or read an upbeat article about Shadeur in weeks. It’s beginning to remind me of the Geno year when a few people had him in the top 3 but it turned out it was just journos reading each others predictions and no teams had him high.

I heard someone say on a pod the other day that without his famous surname he’d be a 6th rounder! I reckon Dart as second QB taken is a decent long shot bet

mocks are just mocks, i'll wait for them to actually screw it up before i start worrying about it

plus I've already given up on 2025, and for that matter pretty much have no expectations until Mickey Loomis is gone

he finally got full say in things and hired a loser coach and spent $150 million on a loser QB who won't even play this year and doesn't want to be there anyway and he'll continue to make the same draft screwups

at least a QB wouldn't be throwing another pick at a shitty edge rusher just because he's 6'4" 265. and they don't even trade up in this mock! so we're 2-for-2 on avoiding typical Loomis mistakes so far

I mean I'd say the way things are going it's more likely our next franchise QB is Arch Manning, except that we have an almost 70-year-old GM who hasn't been held accountable for a series of bad decisions, so why would he even care about building for the future or waiting out a rebuilding effort when he can just try to patch together a 7-win team and convince Gayle that things are looking up

Care’s greatest gift to the franchise might be this injury if you guys playRattler all year and get the #1 pick

by feel wrath m

At first I thought it was pretty dumb of Todd to have the Giants trading up to get a QB, but not having them trade up ahead of PIT.

But then I realized that's pretty accurate and it would certainly be a Giants thing to trade up to get a QB, behind a team that also needs to draft a QB.

And then to trade into the first round to pick a badly limited player who literally can’t go beyond his first read

Well Jets need oline bad so I like that mock draft. But wouldnt hate taking a shot at a qb, no dig at Fields he still has the upside to do it.

We took a 5th round flyer on Florida State qb who got hurt last year. He was supposed to be ready sometime in camp and then they said he is done for year. Maybe he never gets a shot. Dangerous to pick a great player with huge injury. I dont watch college so my memory is not good, but I vaguely remember Cowboys taking a shot on a great middle line backer who got hurt bad in college, didnt work out.

Jaylon Smith? Worked out pretty well tbh - he played for them for 6 years I think. They didn’t need to give him a huge second contract and he didn’t live up to it but a decent return on a 2nd Rd pick

Leighton Vander Esch was a monster MLB at Boise State with persistent neck issues
first noticed him in the 2017 Vegas Bowl vs Herbert and Oregon when he simply looked better then everyone else

Jerruh drafted him 19th overall in 2018 as heir apparent to Sean Lee's persistent knee problems and he never fooly realized his potential eventually retiring for medical reasons associated with the same injury he had in college

yeah, I think roymunson is referring to Jaylon Smith. there was talk of him as a potential top-5 pick before he completely destroyed his knee in his last college game. Missed his whole rookie year.

Was surprised at the time they took him over Myles Jack, who had his own long-term knee concerns but was a monster in college and still had 7 years as a starter. Neither really played up to the potential their college careers suggested they had, though.
