$25----->25k Bankroll Challenge on Ignition
I am going to be starting with $25 in my Ignition Account and try to spin it up to $25,000.
I will start at 5nl since it
Have your expected winrate view changed after playing 100k+ hands at 25nl with 7-8bb/100? This is in line with what I would've guessed for someone crushing in todays games considering rake at those stakes. Or something like 8-13bb/100. The image below is considering a true winrate of 20bb/100 but an observed winrate of 8bb/100 over 100k hands. I know this variance calculator is
What's up Shipnickle! It's been awhile.
I think like all things in poker, it is a very nuanced topic to talk about winrates.
They are highly sensitive to Poker Site/Format.
I'll use my own data to show you what I am talking about.
At 25nl Blitz. I have a winrate of 4-5bb.
At 25NL Reg tables. I have a winrate of 20ish bb
At 25NL Bomb tables I have a winrate of 30ish bb.
There are huge differences in expected winrate depending on what type of game you are playing.
But the most important factor when determining winrate among regulars is going to be variance.
We can take 6 equally skilled players. Have them play 100k hands. And we see the discrepancy in winrate can be over 18bb/100.
So you could have a 9bb winner and a 9bb loser play 100k hands and post their graphs.
Everyone would think the 9bb winner is a winning player and everyone would think that the -9bb loser is a losing player.
But both assumptions would not be correct, because they are all break even players.

My two main goals now are to
1. Try new strategies out and experiment with them
2. Deep dive common spots that I have glossed over before
I'll give you an example.
Let's say you are BTNvsBB and cbet range OTF on a King high board and you get check-raised.
What does the board texture say about the XR Frequency?
Well before I would group most boards texture together unless they were paired. But this is not correct.
If we look AI we see distinct differences in XR frequency based on the 2nd and 3rd card and also if a FD is present or not.

Every spot is like this in poker, the same spot you have seen 100 times, might look different on the 101st time. Only through repetitions can we figure this out though. That's why all the best players in the world have also played the most imo. And execution in game is the ultimate test because there again is a big difference between recalling a pattern in a short time frame under pressure and talking about on a forum/in a discord channel.
Like anero said, "Poker is a sport"
WRs are so meaningless itβs unreal. The same way trophies and medals are meaningless. They represent success over the short term and make you feel good and like you're 'the goat '
but then so does coke.
Just a free excerpt from my new book
Hey DDP. If you dont mind me asking few MDA questions:
How much regs fold to river raise or xr in lines like:
BXB, XBB, XCXB
I dont have so much hands like you do, but in all these lines regs seem to fold like 70%+ when they use 3/4 sizing on the river. This is huge over fold!!
Do you get similar numbers?
Thanks in advance and GL!

Hey Haizemberg!
Yeah you are correct. This is because of the Reg MDA Principle "Any overbluffed line is by definition overfolded."
Folding %'s are where it say's FCR (Fold/Call/Raise)
COvsBB B30-X-B

IPvsBB X-B-B

XC30-X-B BTNvsBB

This video talks about some other lines that are overbluffed/overfolded.

Just wanna say I'm really enjoying your videos DDP. It's def pro grade. Thanks!

Thanks NSS!
My goal is 1 video a day for 1 year. I'm at 150 videos for 150 days right now. I am enjoying the bite sized approach and it motivates me to study spots I may or may not study.
I am getting my feet wet with Hand2Note right now as well and let's just say it is a big learning curve. The HUD's available with this software are really powerful so I think I will do a video on a Super HUD to show the capabilities of it.
WRT to the BR Challenge:
Slow and Steady.
I have been grinding app games too on ClubGG and am up a few G's at 50nl/100nl on those games but also playing the Blitz pool to stay sharp.
I'll link today's video because it highlight's an important concept in MDA.
Overbarreled Turn spots in 3bet pots from the OOP PFR when put in the opposite line (so they check instead of barrel turn) are under-folded from OOP PFR compared to GTO %'s for B-XF.
Here is today's video on this topic.

Definitely going to check out your youtube. Just hoping now I don't run into you on the Ignition streets haha!
Good luck with the rest of your challenge
Like others said, your content is very useful, lots of value to readers/viewers. thanks a lot and good luck.
Okay guys the channel hit 1k subscribers. I made a 2 part series longer than my other videos in celebration.
Thanks for checking out the channel!

congrats on the growth
Love the videos DDP. I have learned quite a bit from your posts in the past, ty.
I review Saulo Costa's Timing Tell Blueprint .
If you have never looked into Timing Tells before this will be eye opening.
I review 2 Card Confidence's Preflop Xploit's Course
I have been spending way too much time making thumbnails but I think these are pretty cool and wanted to share them. Let me know which one is your favorite.
1. Course Review Thumbnail

2. Red Line Samurai Thumbnail

3. Just made a video with this thumbnail for GTO Stat Checker

Addictive isn't it?
wtf? ..why?
Oh ffs.
Well then they have to ban trading, all crypto, sports, math, computer science and evolutionary theory too.

Yeah you can't have links to anything gambling related in your description (I have a GTO Wizard link) so I think that was culprit.
Pretty gross. I talked to Tombos about it and he said 6 content creators he knew got flagged as well.
Anyone know of any alternatives to Youtube?
