Any thoughts on this hand? $200 tournament

https://play.globalpoker.com/gp/10/hand/...

I have 38 bigs and I'm on the button with KTs and in the mid-late stages of a bounty tournament.

Pre-flop should I have 3 bet? This deep in the tournament I'm relatively comfortable and don't want to unnecessarily get into a sticky situation I don't have to be in so I called.

Flop I like my bet generally, but maybe should I have checked. Getting c/r there puts me in a rather uncomfortable spot. Should I have folded? I really don't like the idea of just calling, bricking, and potentially (probably) getting jammed on.

I feel pretty sick about it, but I kind of feel this is just standard. Anyone want to tell me how trash I played it?

I should mention 97 people left and 56 paid spots. 359 entries. I'm somewhere around 45th in chips. I'm very most likely not going to be able to fold to the money and I'm going to have to get some chips to get there. Like I also said, it's a bounty tournament. I've knocked out a few people and my bounty is at $425. More than most people at this stage so people could be trying to just get in all-in hands with me and gamble. Maybe. Villain's was $150 I believe.

Yeah, I think 3-betting pre at this stage of the tournament is preferable. The later in a tournament you get, the more you want to take down the pot preflop. You can't win a bounty from the raiser anyway, so there's no benefit to luring him into the pot.

As played: In a bounty tournament where I'm covered by both players, I'd be more inclined to check back the flop. If I had them covered, I'd be more inclined to bet and get it in. You don't need to bet that big on the flop, either. And the problem with betting this in a multi-way pot is sort of exactly what happened: Three ways, BB's check-raising range should be tighter and have few if any bluffs; the bluffs are going to be the kind of hand you have, which makes this check-raise even less likely to be a bluff. And if anything, the bounty means villain is more likely to get it in with worse value hands, which isn't good for you with your holding, either.

Thanks for the advice Nath.

Yeah my flop bet could have been dialed down a bit. I was thinking I could either A) Take the pot now or B) Most likely see a river for cheap or free in a lot of cases. That c/r kind of destroyed that plan.

Your point about BB's check raising range at this point is well noted.
