and as a blanket statement, i think Tyler Warren is a unicorn and any team that drafts him better not **** things up

Heh, not even my TE1 this year

More broadly, a couple of interesting mocks from Ben Allbright and Matt Miller, a little different than what we've been hearing,

https://archive.ph/x4PXv

I think these guys are reasonably plugged in, so it's interesting to see where they differ from what a lot of people have been thinking. Particularly the Jags taking Jeanty and how that shakes up the rest of the early 1st.

Mason Graham falling to 11 would be a wet dream for the 9ers

Also I wonder if Jeanty to Jags is being put out there by the Pats to put a higher price on their pick. Assuming Shadeur doesn’t get picked at 2 or 3 and so both Hunter and Carter are gone, I’m sure the Pats would love to drop to 6 or 10 and pick up more picks because they’ll still get an O line starter there and they need help basically everywhere

Lions extend Kerby Joseph 4/86 - haven’t seen guarantees.

Another early extension for the Lions. It’ll be interesting to see if they get Hutchinson done in the next few months too.

Good question (and I agree the Pats definitely would prefer to drop down in that case).

I'm not really sure where the info is coming from for the Jags. It seems to be out there enough that a few people who are plugged in are buying it, but I also don't know that it makes much sense, especially with a younger and more analytically-minded GM. (The dumbest thing I saw was the suggestion Jacksonville would do it because James Gladstone joined the Rams a year after they took Todd Gurley in the top-10... which makes no sense; the old-school dirty coach stuck in the 90s who got fired a year before Gladstone joined the franchise took a running back in the top 10, so that means he will too?) Especially in this draft where there might be a good four or five more starting-caliber RBs (if not more) available on day 2.

McMillan seems like the more likely surprise offensive pick to me there. Another big guy who can win outside and downfield for Lawrence.

I guess it depends where the leaks are coming from and their quality. Some franchises actually get reliable information to one or two reporters. Others do nothing but smokescreens. (The Chargers used to be the latter for sure; I'm remembering how nobody had them taking Joey Bosa in 2016 because they hadn't said a word about him but had hyped up their Jalen Ramsey love).

I feel the same about the Raiders and Jeanty. Basically everyone has him locked there (or at least til the Jags smoke) and while it superficially makes sense (old coach, franchise with no stars needing a bump), I just can’t imagine Brady signing off on it. And while I can’t also possibly imagine why Brady would be given final say on the draft ….it seems as if that is what’s happening

we need Needle for Jags info

Been hearing some chatter the Raiders target OL - don't know how accurate it is or if that's just the fallback plan if Jeanty is gone.

as someone who wants the best for Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders....

my only hope is that neither get drafted by the NY Giants or Jets. otherwise, their potentially great NFL careers will be destroyed.

Taken prop of Ward #1 and no other QB top 20 +120. Think Sanders drops like a stone which given the most likely team to draft him in the market and where they pick should have value

lolstealers?

+120? Surely you could get better odds than that?

Maybe, but if the consensus is Sanders sucks then who is moving up for him? Drop past NO at 9 and he'll drop a lot

At this point, based on the buzz, which could definitely be BS, I think it's more likely Dart or Milroe go top 20 than Sanders.

My Broncos are in a great spot to move back and gain picks assuming the buzz is real. Teams will want to leap frog the Steelers at 21. My gut tells me the Rams snag Sanders if he falls. I also feel like the Sanders hate is a smokescreen. I think he is gonna be really good but will need to go to a dome team or a warm weather team. The Saints are a real possibility.

Even though this is one of the deepest running back classes ever I feel like it is a bit over rated. There are only a handful of well rounded RB's and the rest have specific skill sets. Jeanty is the lone potential generational talent. Hampton is a distant second then you have Henderson and Judkins. Some have Henderson right up there with Hampton. I think the rest of the RB's will be about what flavor of RB you are looking for. It's possible that only Judkins will be left in the early second. It may be best for the Jags to pass on a Mason Graham who is good but not a generational talent and take Jeanty. There will still be very good D tackles in round two. There are rumors Etienne is on the trade block. They could be in a good spot to trade down as well.

Cleveland wouldn't be so great either. This would be the worst landing spot for Shedeur given the cold and windy conditions. I realize Colorado can be cold but this is different. The Rams would be the best place to go for him. Indoors, great coach and no pressure to get on the field and perform early. Also great offensive talent around him.

It seems like a logical fall back plan. They really need a corner but not at pick 6. They also really need a RB which is why Jeanty makes so much sense.

The Niner's would love Graham falling to them. The Colts would love Warren falling to them. If Tyler Warren falls this far I wouldn't be shocked if the Broncos moved up to get him. He would be the perfect fit for Sean Payton. He could be his Taysom Hill in addition to being a great all around TE. Evan Engram only has a two year deal and is getting older.

Tet Mcmillan falling to 23 seems crazy.

Of course the Eagles get Kenneth Grant.

Hunter, Carter, and Jeanty are the 3 guys with the greatest chance to positively impact a franchise.

I've been hearing talk around Graham and depending on who's there at 6 they might trade down as they could still get Graham a few picks later most likely.

nice to meet a fellow connoisseur of oregon duck Terrance Fergusson

Hot Take of the Night

The stuff on Sanders was all BS, and he ends up going to the Saints at 9. Pittsburgh, now afraid someone might trade ahead of them to get a QB, ends up trading Pickens and the 21st pick to Dallas for the 12th pick.

Pittsburgh drafts Dart at 12
Dallas get their WR2 and then drafts Hampton (if still available) at 21

what a ridiculous bling necklace Shedeur is wearing

i know. i know. i shouldn't be talking

What's everyone eating for Draft Night? I'll be going with some chicken lo mein and some spring rolls.
