It varies by site. E.g. the 10x in March at Bossier included VP. But same promo ‘down the road’ at Lake Charles limited VP to 2x. Then across the state in NOLA VP was included.

BTW Danville is in south VA on the VA/NC state line 45 min from Greensboro. Pretty new casino. Son went there couple weeks ago. His description, nice, small. Has a bunch of shitty BJ but poker room seemed nice.

I think it's likely they just say it's not included but if you mix it in with some other gambling it ends up counting due to their shitty system not being sophisticated enough to tell the difference. I think in the past when they've said poker doesn't count it really did as long as you did some other gambling to trigger the multiplier.

I know this about achieving diamond in a day at a casino but for those not close to one or don't want to risk losing a lot. You can get the Wyndham Earner Business card and Caesars will match Diamond status. I just got mine renewed online. Resort and parking fees are waived which is huge if you want to stay for a while. I got 4 nights the second week of WSOP at Paris for a total of $113 (weekdays).

For the past month or two I have had some weird activity on my account. While I was waiting for my 5000 TCs from the credit card i would check my account every couple of days.

I would find that every few days a point (or two or three) would randomly be added to my account. On Monday I would have 9034 TCs, when I checked on Wednesday it would be 9036. Then on Saturday it would be 9037.

I never gambled during that time.

Obviously it is to my very mild benefit, but it is strange.

I feel as though they are making some sort of adjustments behind the scenes but I don't know what. As I have complained about before, it would be nice if Ceasars had some sort of place where a customer could go and see a report on what points were for on their account.

That would be nice. And it would also be easy since the system is largely computerized. However I doubt it will ever happen. If they allow people to see exactly what activity earns what points, then people will learn to game the system, much like they did with the drink voucher program. People will also see the most profitable activities for the casino do not always come with the most benefits to players in the form of rewards and point. Again, customers will change their behaviors to the detriment of the casinos.

What they really ought to do, IMO, is go back to the way things were before the mainly brainless computerized points systems were developed (at least for things like table games) and allow floor managers to have some agency in doling out perks. The purpose of loyalty cards in the gaming world is to make customers feel good about their experience, especially if they are losing. But obviously, the way these programs have been run in recent years leaves a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. Like most things in the gaming world, the powers that be don’t really care since they are selling a highly addictive product. But it seems there is always a line which can be crossed

MGM actually lets you see your points activity history.
Caesars computer system in general is super wonky.

The only places I know where pit bosses have any authority to issue comps these days are boyd properties. It's possible there are some smaller independents that do as well that I'm not aware of.

I vote to keep it the same, it’s great. The best out there.

The only negative issue over the years is probably some missing badges from Quest for Rewards but that’s minor

Last summer at Golden Nugget during peak WSOP season,
drink service is really slow in the poker room, was with my brother.
I had a plan, we asked for jack and cokes in a short glass with a shot of jack on the side, before she can say she couldnt do that, I tipped her $10, a redbird for each of us and she left

She came back minutes later and said "pour the shot in now, I'm not supposed to do this, and lean over so the camera misses it" We did as told, we told her in 20 minutes we'd like another round. We were loading up at the end of a session to go wander up and down Fremont St.

We got the best, fastest service we had seen in the 7 or 8 hours we had been there.
And at $5 for a double jack and coke, we still were coming out WAY ahead.

The other guy is correct, $1 tips dont move the needle. $5 tips will get their attention.

We must have got 3 or 4 of those doubles in one hour when prior we were lucky to get one drink per hour

nothing better than finding ways to get 8 alcoholic drinks consumed within an hour for $40 while gambling...

I've dicked around playing low stakes blackjack downtown with friends drinking. It's amazing what a red bird each can do with those waitresses.

We took a pic with the waitress when we got up to leave and it's still makes me smile.

Used to be easy at the TI poker room. It had a direct back door to a bar. She would walk out and be back in under 5 minutes with a full tray.

If you guys like play cards while sauced, just bring your own B... I know a few people that do this.

Has anyone who booked a hotel reservation before losing Diamond status confirmed whether or not you get charged resort fees when you go Diamond-less? I know there was discussion of that back in Feb but curious how it's played out.

Also a related question maybe someone can answer: I have a reservation with no resort fees scheduled for June for WSOP which I need to adjust by a day. Do I risk resort fees getting tacked onto my reservation if I call them up to modify it? I'm debating whether it's better to just book a second reservation for the extra night since the room is only $26.

By default it will charge you if lose your status before the reservation when you check out. A friend of mine had this happen and argued his way out of it. He had an email with the total showing zero resort fees. I have diamond and looking at a confirmation email for a reservation it says nothing about resort fees in my total. In the fine print it does say resort fees waived for diamond and 7s. But it also doesn't say when you have to have the status. I also had a time a few years back I had a reservation checking out Feb 2nd. I had diamond when I checked in, but the last day I had it was Jan 31. When I checked out it charged me the RF for the entire stay (10 days or so) I told them I'm only paying it for Feb 1. They got a manager who confirmed I had diamond status for all but one day and then just took the RF off for all of the days.

YMMV on that but if you fought it with the credit card company you'd win. Of course Caesars could nuke your rewards account.

If you don't have diamond status anymore and you modify anything the new reservation email will show a RF for all of the days.
If I were you I'd call upadd that night as a separate reservation.
Then when you check out be prepared to argue with them about the scam fee for all of the other nights.

If you booked the room before your Diamond card expired, I’m pretty certain you could convince them to waive the resort fees if you go to the front desk at check-out. I’ve done stuff like this in the past (e.g. gotten resort fees waived at MGM places based on an expired MGM Gold card).

that's actually impressive bc unlike Caesars, MGM lists resort fees in the email even if you have gold then takes them off when you check out for gold and above.

Subtotal
Taxes
Deposit
and a GRAND TOTAL

It should be an all inclusive billing and is based upon your card status as it relates to Resort Fee's at the time the reservation is made.

That is the maximum amount they can charge you regardless of current card status.

If you were exempt due to Diamond Status when the Hotel confirmed your billing then you are good to go. Now what I am UNSURE about is making a modification AFTER your status changes.
I suspect but do NOT know with 100% you would be required to pay the resort fee if your card status had dropped for the NIGHT(S) you added.
Always a call to the hotel direct is the way that should be handled and they can be extremely customer friendly at times if you happen to get the right agent.
I've had NON CET properties wave the resort fees at check in when I could show that my status had dropped.

That's pretty cool, I would've expected the opposite.

if you modify a reservation after you lose status (but made it when you had diamond) the new email will 100 percent show resort fees for all nights.

Another trick that I've sometimes used for friends who don't have diamond- if they add me to their room reservation they'll waive resort fees bc I have diamond if I go with them. It won't work if you're currently staying in a Caesars room already and it never worked at PH.

Ouch - Think I would literally not touch my existing reservation and just make a new one for the single or multiple nights as a different new one, at least that way they couldn't hit you with Resort fees on the initial reservation. Good to know.
