New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I paid $10 to try out the Domino's stuffed crust, not bad at all. But a little small, only 12 inches. They classify it as one of their pan pizzas.
The Ricks BOGO deals don't require the app either but you do need it to get some free fries. But agreed it is fantastic. As someone who doesn't normally like onions the onion straws on the cajun chicken sandwich are good. Any time Wendys or BK has something that has them on it I always order it.
BK's got BOGO OG Chix Sammichs...

BOGO OCS is McMuffin’s delight.
Back in the day (11-12 years ago) I remember a BK deal:
Two OCS with two small fries.
Sub one fry for onion rings.
Zesty sauce it up.
It was ****ing glorious.
One is pretty good, even though they're too salty. Two of them, is one too many for me.

One thing I like doing w McChickens/Carl’s Spicys is getting two and making one doubled pattied sandwich. It’s better than having two separates for me for sure.
Weinerschnitzel in the big city has an AI order-taker in the drive thru! Makes sense since most people probably order most things straight up.
TIL!
Flying through Charlotte yesterday, shout out to the CLT Burger King for serving up a perfectly hot, juicy, beefy double whopper. I sacrificed the onions to try to get one made fresh (I couldn't bring myself to order one off the broiler in a busy airport), and it seemingly worked perfectly. As good a whopper as I've had in years.
Pricing was not too shabby for an airport too: a double whopper a la carte at $7.99. Pricing shenanigans abound though: single whopper was $6.99 so just a buck more for a double; it was $8 GD dollars more for a small fries and soda so I was easily able to pass on the combo and go burger only; and always my favorite, the cost to make it a combo varied wildly from $5.50 to $8 depending on what food you were buying - the non-OG chicken sandwich was $1.59 more expensive than the double whopper, but the double whopper combo was a buck more expensive than the non-OG chicken sandwich. All this led to me feeling smart and therefor better about myself and happier with my experience for feeling like I maximized airport value.
I also found it a combination of funny and sad that the airport Jersey Mikes next to the BK had prices about $2 cheaper than my regular JM in Seattle. Sigh. (I would normally have chosen JM over BK particularly at a discount to hometown prices, but alas their line was too long for my layover.)
Bonus fast food - I might have done something different than a burger for lunch if I'd known I would end up at East Tennessee fast food legend Pal's for dinner. I really do love this place. Big pal, frenchie fry, peachie tea: ♥
Tomorrow, for Cinco de mayo Chilis has $5 margaritas! Deal works great with the free chips and salsa for reward members.
funny how the robots are the ones that make us conform
What pisses me off is that I can’t make them through the app. It won’t let you substitute Mac sauce on a McDouble, so that’s lame.
Yeah, I could buy all the parts at Walmart and make it too…what’s your point? Make it available in the app if you have it in the store or if you’ll let me do it through the drive thru.
Rick's app seriously needs to allow people to customize their burgers and add mac sauce (which is up to 45cents now for me, it used to be 40 cents maybe 3 years ago). I still said shut up and take my spare change.
It's weird how McDonald's app gate keeps features. I rarely see Mac sauce as an option, for example with my beloved daily double. Or anything else. What burger does the app allow you to addac sauce?
I think the BK app offers much more, but they were built on have it your way
