I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about
Gutless by Mitch to not take a shot there.
Maybe one of the worst edited episodes in show history just on the basis of the Joe slo-mo challenge and Star rep sequences.
I actually think Shauhin and/or Kyle have been doing the right thing to survive a lot of these votes. You can convince me they deserve the money. But Shauhin doesn’t have the edit. For Kyle, it comes down to how he maneuvers. He seems to be getting the spotlight on him for whatever comes next
I’d rather see Eva just get the money than whatever “fireworks” Kyle and Kamilla can muster against the worst players of all-time

For me Kyles edit has been virtually identical to Charlie and Sams (both the 2nd place finishers)

I can only reiterate what I said before.
Mary, Star, and Kamilla: we have to make a move on someone.
Literally discuss every single option other than the biggest threat to win who has the most power in the game. Like...they are at 7 right now. Eva is one immunity win (with the availability of her idol + SWP advantage) away from walking to the F4 without anyone having a chance to target her. She's a key decision maker in the key alliance of the season. She's won immunities. She's at least made efforts on jury management. She has a compelling personal story.
Rest of cast: cool, let's really have a spirited discussion of Star vs Mary as our next target.
I'm all for not having a gamebot season but this is just silly. Mitch is awful and keeps giving confessionals saying "I don't want to be awful but this just isn't the right time to stop being awful.". Kamilla is super proud of her secret alliance of 2 which is kind of getting nothing done. Mary's at least kind of trying to stay afloat even though she has no power. I guess sometimes if you're playing with big enough donkeys, it's fine to just keep value betting your hand, and that's what the big alliance is doing. Just makes for a boring season.
Can Eva play her swp on someone else? Basically force them to leave tribal and not be able to vote?

I agree with gutless Mitch. He might not 'trust' star, but what are his chances of getting better than 5th without finding an idol or winning challenges?
I find myself feeling anxious when Mitch is speaking. Its an almost physical knot in my stomach. I feel guilty even mentioning it. I cant tell if it happens as a result of me trying to concentrate on what he's saying because it puts me in the mind of a radio cutting in and out. Or a more forgivable empathetic response to his struggle. He's a sweet blessing of a man and I'm obviously a horrible person. Sigh.
I don't really understand why Kyle isn't telling Kamilla to just chill out and that worst case scenario is he, Kamilla, and Shauhin will be in the drivers' seat vs Joe and Eva at the final five. She says she needs to make a move because she has no path to the end, but that's not remotely true. Three is greater than two. If the problem is Kamilla doesn't fancy the idea of getting to the end with Kyle and Shauhin, and is trying to make moves that give her better options, Kyle probably shouldn't be helping her at all.
I'm not sure Kyle and Shauhin are incentivized to completely disband the 'strong people' alliance too early. If they do, they become the obvious 'strong people' for the rest of the rag tags to target. If you are Kyle and Shauhin and you are comfortable working with Joe and Eva and you have Kamilla as your shared side piece...I mean, why are they going to risk going sideways or backwards? They would have to think working with Mary, Mitch, and Kamilla is better than going status quo. It's probably not. Now, if Joe and Eva bite them in the ass in the next few episodes, then obviously they are making a mistake, but Joe and Eva play so face up...the danger they suddenly become snakes seems low.
Do we know when Eva's advantages expire? If she's working with you and you feel you have nothing to fear from her, don't you just let them expire? Rather than attempt some shot at her, and risk blowing up your game either immediately because the advantage comes into play, or subsequently based on the dramatic shift in power and your perceived threat level that just transpired.
I just don't see Kyle and Shauhin being incentivized to make a move right here, and I think that's why there wasn't one. Getting rag tags to band together and try to tie vote against someone who has known advantages is no small task. Mary and Kamilla are known snakes. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if you move with them too early, you'll get bit.
I suppose Mitch and Kamilla are being told they have a path to final six, if not beyond. It's probably true for one of them.

Kyle+Shauhin only need to get to final four and they theoretically have multiple routes to do this together.
Only person they arguably 'need' to remove before four is Joe.

Honestly, you could argue she's played one of the more dominant games in recent Survivor history.

Found advantages
Led the dominant season alliance
Great personal story if you're into that kind of thing
No real blood on her hands with the jury
Never received a vote at any tribal

She got lucky and found a scroll in chips at reward. Star found a HII and gave it to her.
Eva hasn't really found any advantages in the way you like to see people doing it by searching through the forest and finding it in an obscure place.
It feels like obscure advantages don't really exist in the new era. I'd say what's more impressive is everyone knowing she holds a HII and no one trying to either blindside her to get rid of it or openly targeting her to force her to play it.

That would be a great play.

Based on my quick searching, which still wasn’t 100% clear, I believe she can give it to someone else to play. But they have to make the decision to play it. She can’t decide who she’s playing it on at TC and force it.
Just imagine if Eva actually wasn't autistic at all and this was like a 4d chess move a la Johnny Fairplay but a million times better. And then she gets Joe voted out after promising him safety and just laughs to herself.
Only flaw with that is there's no way to reveal it without making sure the jury would insta vote anyone else.
