Player angrily throws cards on table and turns away as neighbor says...

4/8 lhe game, perpetually grumpy reg shared his cards with well liked reg neighbor as he was short stacked and going all in.

Reg didn't like runout for his apparent top pair to a 4 card straight, opponent bets river, reg stands, angrily throws cards on table face down and turns away, neighbor says 'why are you mucking you have a straight?'

Reg quickly turns around and retrieves his cards as the dealer was reaching for them and shows his straight for a chop.

This caused a commotion.

Veteran dealer, regs, and chop victim discuss briefly before calling floor, well liked reg cuts out the chop from his stack, apologizes to victim and pushed it over. Grumpy reg racks his chips and leaves with out saying anything. Floor is not called.

Dealer reminds all to zip it as needed and one player per hand. This was not a big pot, maybe $50.

Is there a ruling question?

Pot should be split. Nice guy should get a warning or worse. Given that he paid half the tiny pot to p3 I also pat him on the back while warning in sotto voce. Hopefully everyone learns a lesson.

And hopefully mis reg quits poker or has a Scrooge moment or something.

So is grumpy reg all-in or is his opponent betting the river?
Which one is it?

Sorry I wasn't clear, there was a 3rd player who folded river to bet.

Do you have a question here or are you just posting a story?

He is a miserable person and terrible at poker. He buys in for the minimum, plays tight and basically face up talking about the hand in progress, and gets mad when he loses, leaves for awhile, comes back and does the same on another table. And another. Most of us actually feel kind of sorry for him but we still take his money.

He has been a reg for 20 years according to the old guys.

Cool story, Bro.
