CoinPoker: Banned With No Appeal
TLDR; Be wary of CoinPoker.
Now, I know how this looks but please read the entire message before commenting.
I and my partner are beginning to think that CoinPoker is a scam site. Unfortunately, because we live in Australia there are very limited options available for us to utilise poker sites, and since we live rurally we have a lot less access to in-person tournaments. There are TWO sites available to us, CoinPoker and Ignition.
We chose CoinPoker because it was a lot more fun, we liked the tournament options available, and the freerolls were enticing and enjoyable.
We live in the same household but we have always ensured that we play in separate rooms to each other just in case we end up on the same table. This is of course for integrity but primarily because I am trying to learn how to play properly and if I was able to see his cards it would mess me up anyway. We have ended up playing the same tournaments quite a few times because there are a lot less tournaments available when we are awake (Australian time), so we are left without much choice.
Well, my partner won one of those "bad beat jackpots" that CoinPoker likes to advertise, I think it was about $100 USDT or so. Almost instantly, he was banned pending security investigation. . This was on a cash table, I wasn't playing at the time and had nothing to do with that table or anything. All of a sudden when he wins something, he's banned for investigation.
They email us both with a list of different hands asking us to "explain". They're all hands where we are on the same table, which again we can't control being on the same table. They wanted us to explain why we both folded at the same time (out of position or **** hand or right before bubble etc.). We both gave thorough explanations which were 100% the truth for each hand. Things like, Q: Why did you go all in with 7 2 off suit? .. A: Well, it's a bluff isn't it? I've done it to others, he's no different. ((Have you seen Kitty Kuo and Frankie C???)). They did not investigate us for any other folding or bluffs, just those where we were on the same table.
We both understand that sites like this have a higher rate of cheating when they are available to everyone and the primary currency is crypto. But to ban us right when someone wins a large sum of money seems like they were just farming us for deposits before cancelling our accounts. This is such shady behaviour and I have read so many forum posts where the same thing has happened to others.
It is pretty clear from all the hand histories they have collected from us both that neither of us are great players and we are definitely both at a loss so CoinPoker has made their money from us. We have also never gained any sort of advantage by being in the same tournaments (as mentioned, we are in separate rooms when playing). Neither of us believe we have colluded and would never intentionally do something like that.
I think it would've been more appropriate for them to just set it so we can't enter the same tournaments, but instead they have banned us completely. We have been told they won't respond to our emails and our money will be distributed to "players we HARMED". Because folding a hand or bluffing your partner is harmful?? Don't you think it would be shadier if we didn't bluff? That would imply we always knew each other's hands more....
Really shady, really disappointing and as someone who is in a really community-minded profession and prides myself on honesty it upsets me that they have accused us of something we did not do.

So you bluff your partner with 72o, is this yous standart play? I think coinpoker looked at your HH and saw that you are doing something different against each other compared to other players. Playing for a long time on Coinpoker now, always fast Support and had never any problems there. And trust me, they coudnt care less about you winning $100, they just want their games to be fair.
Yeah, actually it is pretty consistent as I am brand new to poker. I played on Zynga for about a week or so and then jumped into CoinPoker. I didn't know anything about positioning and learnt that as I went along. I also had no idea about hand value, however I do know that he folds to a bluff easily as I got away with it once and kept doing it.
I have definitely done that before to others. But they don't look at any other hands only those that we were on the same table for, and they asked us to explain hands where everyone on the table folded. It makes no sense.
All I'm saying, is I feel it's an injustice. I'm all for a company banning people for doing the wrong thing as that is absolutely NOT on. But we would never, and have never done something like that. I don't know what to do about it, and it makes me sad because there are only two options in Australia and my partner enjoys it far more than I do.
I just want to share my experience to give some context and show that this site does take fair play seriously and acts in good faith.
Just a few days before this post, I reported two players who were clearly colluding. I even included video evidence. The site investigated and banned both of them, so I know firsthand that when there’s solid proof, they take action quickly and fairly.
I get that it can be frustrating to be questioned or asked to explain hands — especially when everyone folded — but if nothing wrong was done, the best thing is to just cooperate and clear it up. In my case, I felt protected as an honest player, and that gives me trust in the platform.
Just wanted to share my experience to highlight that they’re not banning people randomly, and that when someone breaks the rules, there are consequences.
"We live in the same household but we have always ensured that we play in separate rooms to each other just in case we end up on the same table."
Interesting.
When a BBJ is won we do quickly do a security check on the hand action and players, all sites that have jackpots do. We've paid out $290k so far this year. Here's a Discord member that received it yesterday, there are many others in our community on there you can ask too.
The person you mention in your post also has promoted CoinPoker as a reputable site to play at, and there are no other threads about CoinPoker's BBJ not being paid on 2+2 or any other forum that I can see - let me know where are you seeing those.

If you can post your username here I can ask support for more info.
You have no posting history on 2+2 so you might not be able to DM yet.
