30 Day Challenge: 40k Hands + Building Good Habits
Starting this thread because feel like writing daily in from of audience helps me be more professional with the things I know I have to do.
My current schedule is 1-2 days of only playing, then 1 day of building strategies. The normal workday is roughly: 8am - 1pm play, 1pm - 3pm gym and rest, 3pm to 7pm play.
Goals for today
1. Not look the results
2. Not to put money in spots I am not sure about
3. Only 1 drink at the evening and go to sleep before 1am, so I can play tomorrow (I am invited to a birthday party)

I was running very bad and way under EV. There was huge temptation to check what is going on.. resisted for 10m then checked.
The good thing: Saturday went to bed at 1am so managed to play Sunday.
Tomorrow is for strategy development. Will review if I have good thought process in the big pots I've played last 2 days and then will work on ideas I have had during play + make anki cards from those. Will review the cards for 30m during the playing days
To be more specific - for the thought process review I will take the big pots and for each hand will explain out loud / write down - "Why did I bet this size? ", "Why did I call/fold?".. etc
I feel I am making huge mistakes for very stupid reasons
Drinking before going to sleep is a really really dumb idea. Cheers and gl with poker.

I think I found my best rhythm for poker. I have days for grinding and days for studying and feel a lot better. Previously I was trying to do both things in same day and didn't feel motivation to do any of them. Now I feel good when study and when playing.
Another thing that I started implementing more and really love it.
While I play I keep a notepad open and write down ideas for hands. Then in the study days I can do very clean session review. Just review this file and process the ideas there. Now the session reviews feel really good. Previously when I tried to review a session I was just going through some random hands and felt like waste of time. It probably was.
And the other thing I do in the study days - I make anki cards with the all somewhat interesting showdowns of the regs I regularly play against. The idea is - at the end poker is about knowing how your opponent will play. So if I have memorized all showdowns.. I should have huge advantage. I have gut feeling that this could be a thing that has potential to 2x my winrate. But lets see.
Volume is a bit lower than expected. I need to hit 10k hands per week to hit the 40k for 30 days. And hitting the volume is pretty important to me.
