Can someone explain to me why leftists seem to get a hard on over Muslims? What is it about Islam that speaks to the commies so much?
Sure, it's because they're getting killed and oppressed en masse by the US and US-backed forces in a way that members of any other large group have not had to endure. That fully explains it, but, a bit more:
We feel this way DESPITE the fact that many of us aren't Muslims ourselves (in other words, Islam does not "speak to us", as you moronically stated in sentence 2, we just want them to be able to live healthy and full lives without the boot of US/Israeli imperialism on their neck for every single day of their existence)
A little, um, bonus, is that they've also faced social oppression/bigotry/racism from random civilians on a level no other group has in the US and most of the West has come close to facing. We regard that as... bad. You may disagree.
Karl, if you want to get perma'd (which you very clearly do), just go to this thread and make a request. It's much more efficient.
I have no interest in getting perma'd, I'm just out here calling Nazis Nazis, if that gets me perma'd, so be it.

For the purposes of the following question, I'm going to stipulate to your first sentence, although I think it's debatable: there are lots of people getting killed and oppressed en masse all over the world; do Muslims concern you more than the other group because it's the US and US-backed forces doing the killing and oppression?
OK, but what about the fact that his death instantly makes the planet a better place? Certainly one more welcoming to Muslims!
Why would you care about Muslims? I thought you were a cool anti religious edgelord? You don't seem to have the same welcoming attitude to Christians for example. How come the Muslims get a free pass, Karl?
Consider it a type of philanthropic self-euthanasia. Also, somebody who's a big fan of murdering Palestinians en masse such as yourself has no place to speak about empathy.
I resent that. I'm a fan of baby murdering, their nationality is irrelevant to me. And yet again I was acquitted, due to my multiple detailed confessions being coerced, and the cops screwing up on the warrant, which led to the chainsaw with the bits of babies on it being thrown out, as a fruit of the poisoned tree thingy.
And I can indeed point out how laughable your claims of being big on empathy is, when you wish others to kill themselves, even if I'm banned from babysitting.

I suspect that many Americans who claim to be Marxist wouldn't want to live in any communist state that has actually existed. Claiming to be Marxist is just a way of demonstrating support for a cause, and they define themselves as supporters of pretty much every cause that is "leftist" in the popular imagination of the moment. In other words, I don't think there is anything special in their minds about causes related to Islam.
This is an overgeneralization, of course, but I think it describes a decent percentage of people who work square non-academic jobs in the U.S. while claiming to be Marxist.

That's certainly the feeling I get observing the Victor types. It almost seems like they check their Twitter feed every morning to learn what horrors "teh West" has committed that they need to be vocally outraged about for the remainder of that day.

Dunno about that Karl. Jews, circa 1933-45, Cambodians circa 1975-79, Tutsis circa 1994? I think they were a teensy weensy bit killed and oppressed en masse more than Muslims by the US snd US backed forces? What say you? Care to revise your assertion?

Unlike Christians. Why the discrepancy Karl?

Didn't you subject a Christian to that recently? How come you don't regard that as...bad? Why is it okay for you to do such things, but not other people? This is coming across as a shade inconsistent is all. Can you explain why you're so inconsistent?

Well, I was born and raised in the US and have lived all of my 35+ years here, so I don't think I can help but to have an American-centric perspective to some degree.
The US and its proxies are the most militarily powerful group on the planet by a significant margin. If we lived on an Earth 2 where the US is a minor country and, say, Japan was the primary power and was murdering tens of thousands of say, Mormons around the globe for dubious political aims, I would feel the same way about that as I feel about our actual situation.
Do you now accept that we (i.e., leftists) have no special positive feelings towards Islam itself? Your second sentence, in which you stated otherwise, was very silly.
We just want whoever the oppressors are to stop oppressing the oppressed. Pretty simple.

Alright, so it's some sort of white knight complex then?

You praised Hamas for slaughtering over a thousand Jews. Run this by me again?
lol coronavirus; I'm talking about ONGOING oppression, not engaging in historical musings
and no, you very good internet poster, I did not "subject" lagtight to "social oppression/bigotry/racism from random civilians on a level no other group has in the US and most of the West has come close to facing". You may want to brush up on the English language before responding
Looks like Karl just got his wish.
Well, that was a shocking turn of events, did not see that coming.

October 07 was two years ago, hardly a historical musing. You told him to kill himself. Yet are against other people being killed? How is that not inconsistent again?
jfc wanting the world to be a better place for people to live in doesn't make anyone a "white knight".
The real question is why don't people like you take more of an interest in what's been going on in the world.
I'm pretty sure that most people think their cause is the one that makes the world a "better place for people to live in". You won't find too many people actively campaigning on a "let's make the world a worse place to live in" platform.
I probably take more interest than most - I'm here, aren't I?

Although "Let's make California a worse place to live in" seems to be the guiding principle of Democrat politicians here in the Golden State.

You're here to take the piss, yes. 😆
