I checked, GTO wizard says Jam

I dont understand why we Jam, how are there enough combos for Villain to call and we get value?

I would guess the solver villain mainly bets hands better than A8 themselves (99+) and checks a range of giveups (JT KJ etc, unpaired missed clubs), showdown value (A high, rivered 6x of clubs), and a very small amount of traps. So hero can shove A8 to target (get value from) A high and 6x clubs, generating a little more EV than checking back. The A8 value bet also helps balance hero’s bluffs like low clubs, which want to fold out better hands

I think I was mistakenly thinking they'd only call 99+ but you're right, they could have some missed clubs that 3bet. Kc6c. Also hero needs to balance range when bluffing T9 of clubs or JT clubs.
