3-bet pre, can't fold river IP here

Wtf, no way we ever folding river, snap call everytime

Don't cold call from the CO in high rake games. 3 bet

Do yourself a favor and never use those two phases,'Am I too far up in my range here' 'have to call'

3B pre, as played call because he can have 88 KQ KJs KTs.

I don't think it's a happy call river. Like it could be -EV. It's just that when we fold our strategy becomes unplayable if villain is competent

Yep, would 3b pre, and yes, yes, as played no chandce.
This is 5NL no chance I'm bet/folding anything.

Right

Good call I guess: It's not right taling about some strange workout.

#Are you on Stars? Do I know you?

As played, I would 100% call the river. He can also have worse hands like flush, KJs, KTs, 88.

I always say overfold river on 2nl and 5nl but there are exceptions.

Tip:
(He can't have KK).

Positive:
I think its good that you at least think about folding a strong hand on the river on 5nl.

GL!

Reads?

Assuming readless:

3bet pre, especially in high rake structures
Flop onwards: well played

There are some people (uber nits who aren't squeezing 88) where I'd contemplate folding river. Particularly since (in their mind) you show up with flush+ a lot here. Not sure I'm ever folding Qh or Qd river though.

As many said before 3bet pre. At these stakes on MP-SB you should play 3bet/fold only

Always calling river. You simply have value domination

Cold call is fine here but I question postflop a lot. You can raise flop, raise turn, raise river. I kinda see why you want to fold the river but if he’s a rec you can’t really fold anything here. Maybe nits you can but even regs you might just have to pay the piper.

You only need to win 26% of the time to make a river call breakeven. There are three combos each of AA or AK that villain can have - six total combos have you beat. That means if you can find two combos villain can have that you beat, it is close and three makes it a clear call. AcJc and AcTc could very well take this line, so already we are close. We just need either one more suited ace combo or maybe villain spazzes with QQ otf and ott and thinks he hit a monster on this river? Anyway, you probably are not a favorite to win here, but you don’t have to be to make the call. It seems like a clear call IMO.

Edit - he also could very well have taken this line with 88. That is three combos right there - enough to make it a clear call.

I strongly disagree: Hero should never raise anywhere.

I strongly disagree: Hero should/could raise any street.

I think it's ok to raise flop trying to get value from 99-aa by forcing them to commit (club turn may kill his or your action). Of course you would need to balance that line with club draws as your most natural bluffs. I think the way you played it is fine as well just call river.
