Skill gap between levels
Anyone knows what the skill gap is between 100nl and 50nl, and between 200nl and 100nl?
50nl was very hard for me to crack, but I now seem to have gotten the hang of it and expect to reach 100nl pretty soon. 25nl always felt like the easiest level to me. I'm curious if the jump will again feel like a mountain.

GreatMorty, glad you asked. For me personally playing on row site you see the same regs from 25 -100nl even 200nl sometimes. You seem technically sound enough that I would say go for it and don't worry so much about the ''skill gap''.
To me: a thousand years ago, but it seems right right now is:
at 50NL they have insane agresssion! you just let them have their aggresseion and
call down.
I don't think it has changed much. Did it?
There is so much aggression not getting into 100NL, yet wtf!
I feel that the skill gap between 25 and 50 is remarkably siignifanct.
25 is just some doods doing their random grinder things, but 50 is doods who did their homework.
Funnily enough: I think they think they invented aggression so they. ... But it's different today.
But it's not the smae I feal. 50NL is much harder.
But agression takes to a limit: you can be aggressive for awhile. But just let it go.
If I'm not so super-sided..... ´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´´
It’s relative to who’s playing: it’s not a linear increase in difficulty.
Sitting on a 2 rec 200nl table is easier than an average 25nl table on stars for example.
It’s a poor assumption to assume that it gets harder when you move up. For example, those triton and hustler cash game streams are likely softer than your local 2/5 or 1/2 game at your local casino.
I would say the best regs at a given limit are often better, but fish are just fish everywhere. Sometimes fish at higher stakes are even fishier than those at lower stakes tbh.
No doubt that live 2/5 plays like online 10nl.
It has ever been that way.
Unless you deal with collusion or card-marking or such. Then you lose your edge.
But regs at a higher level are clearly tougher than at lower stakes.
There's no way you can compare them.
Also, and what is worse: The fish are much different at - say - 10NL than at 100NL or 1kNL.
The fish at 100NL are splashier - usually people who make a lot of money who don't really need it.
At 10NL - the fish are both: either splashier or who don't really need it.
That means: The fish are usually more aggressive at higher stakes than at lower stakes.
At higher stakes they are not there, just so you valuebet them to death. They are usually smart, very
successful in what they do, but they just don't care.
As was Guy Laliberte. Until he cared. 😉
Made it to 100nl and been playing it for 2-3 days. With a small sample size, it feels like the pool is way worse than at 50nl (at least the fishes). Got a few people put all their money in with 0 equity bluffs in 4bp with T high in spots I can easily have the nuts. Is this normal? Almost never saw that at 50nl or 25nl.
Yeah the fish get considerably more aggressive the higher you go, they play a high variance style which is great when you're running well lol. One reason this could be more prevalent ( fish being worse) is due to the fact that playing 25 - 50$ cash games is not all that exciting for the casual gambler.

I feel the same. My guess is that there are more grinders at 50? 100 definitely has a lot more recreational players. I got put into way more tough spots when playing 50.

What site are you playing on? Geo fenced or row?
