What is everyone looking forw
Lovely. And I am fine with this taking it's time. I am very happy you are answering questions, open for feedback and it seems like you really want to give a fantastic customer service. Love it!One question on the document just released, what does this mean on page 18 and 19 ((Omaha Hi/Lo and Hi)?"Table will play 8 handed. Games will change every 8 hands"(8 handed I know, but the
Most unfortunate copy/paste. ☺️
We found a few other things too, post-release. It's amazing how we put 5 sets of eyes on these, found tons of errors that were corrected and we continue to find more with every fresh look.
Adjustments are coming, but I don't dare put a timeline on when they'll get published.
Diligent work starts first thing in the AM though.

Hello,
Iβve noticed that in many tournaments (for example, the Opening Grand Stack on May 27), it is stated that the top finishers will win a $1,200 ticket for the Goldenaire starting on June 25.
Here are my questions:
1- Are the $1,200 tickets deducted from the prize pool? For example, if first place is supposed to pay $10,000, does the winner actually receive $8,800 and a $1,200 ticket?
2- What happens to players who win this ticket but wonβt be in Vegas at the time of the Goldenaire? This applies to many players who are not locals. Do they simply lose the $1,200 ?
Thank you for your answers
Surprisingly, most of the 1 day tournaments have their rakes lower than industry standard so that's nice.
I saw 400 mixed with 15.75% (normally 17.5%+ nowadays) and 600 mixed eith 10.7% (unheard of in today's environment) so bravo.
The 2 day ones seem mostly aligned with rest of industry, maybe slightly high depending what you're comparing with.
There were some structures i saw go from 30-60k to 50-75k. The 5ks arent removed yet so why not just do 40-80k?

Some wrong dates, I believe. Event #11 is not June 16.
Appreciate you being on here to hear/respond to feedback, Jay.
One question on the structures: What % of the field is ITM in the daily events? I see it's listed in multi-day but isn't on the daily structures I've looked at.

The seats are funded from "promo", so no....not from prize pool.
Any cash added to one of these finishers is from the overall prize pool.
If you win a seat and cannot make it, its unfortunately not transferrable and will just be forfeited.

12.5% rounded up
will adjust. thank you!
Most events across vegas and even across the nation/world are going to a dinner less break. Since people would rather just play 11am to 10pm and not have a rushed dinner break. Seems most are happy with that. I don't know how people go without eating a real meal for that long playing poker.

We have a Chick Fil A on-property, plus we're right on Fremont St which has other quick food options. Also have sandwiches and snacks available via servers. Plenty of options to quickly get a bite to eat during these events.

Yeah, no. Walking to a place, standing in line, ordering food, waiting for food, and eating food all in 15 minutes isnβt feasible.

We're fat. I can go 2 days easy without eating.

I think a balance can be struck. The 75-90 minute dinner breaks at the WSOP have their perks, but honestly, pretty much all WSOP events are too long.
In other βshorterβ events, I donβt mind a 30-minute extended break around 6:00. Itβs certainly not enough time to have a full sit-down meal at most restaurants in Vegas. But it is enough time to get something to eat and decompress a little. And honestly, if events went to 10-minute standard breaks instead of 15, then a 30 minute dinner break would not extend the day much.
A single 30-minute extended break could also be used to do a single color up for day 1. Iβm guessing itβs a security thing, but outside that, I never understood why it was mandatory to do a color up immediately when a certain denomination of chips becomes unnecessary. These things can wait a bit.

Back in the day of the Phamous series, Planet Hollywood used to send servers from the cafe and PF Changβs (I think?) to the tourney area to take lunch orders and theyβd deliver takeout to everybody. Worked great.
If you time it right, you can beat the lines to Chick Fil A and bring the food back to eat at the table.
It isn't perfect, but it's been done.
Just what we need more sloppy hand food being eaten at the table during a tournament. SMH
Understandably almost none of the venues other than possibly Wynn or Venetian really have adequate room in the tournament area's for food /drink caddies, cart holders and lets face it people are often slobs. Additionally poker chips aren't exactly the most hygienic items to begin with.
A 30-40 minute break after 6 hours of play time is adequate to grab SOMETHING and that only increases the tournament time by 15 - 25 minutes if you already schedule a 15 minute break and do one of the chip color ups during that extended interval is absolutely the way to go.
I actually hate a 30-45 minute break. Give me 75-90 or give me nothing.

There are other logistical reasons for 15-minute breaks instead of 10. Sometimes dealers get locked in and don't get an opportunity to move, use the bathroom, water, etc. A 15-minute break gives us a bit more of a cushion to let the dealers take care of these things without us having to delay starting play back up. When I used to deal the series, these delayed breaks were almost commonplace. We want to avoid that.
This is also why we ask all players to leave the area during breaks.
I'd rather let players plan for the extra 5 minutes than to just have 10-minute breaks be the answer and then they always turn into 15 anyway with huge gaggles of people waiting to get back to their tables. It can get messy, frustrate players, and create all sorts of tension that we'd prefer to avoid.
As for the dinner break piece of this discussion, I think it's being a bit overstated for this particular event. The flights will be short enough that the 11 am players will be able to get a nice dinner after. The 3 pm players should get a nice lunch in before starting to hold them over through the tournament, and the 7 pm players should get a nice dinner in before playing as well.

The more we talk, the more I think you and I think very similarly. I don't LIKE players eating at the table, especially fried chicken and fries.....but it's something they CAN do if they feel the need to eat.
Adding ANY more time to the tournament then has adverse affects on rake needed to support it. Adding 15-25 minutes is another down the dealers are required to be paid, thus increasing the amount of rake that is needed to support this. I think we're in a pretty decent spot this year in terms of rake, I'd prefer to not go back to being "among the worst rakes in town".
For every person that wants to add a dinner break for these shorter events, you're going to have at LEAST one that prefers to not have it. We'll never be able to please everyone, but we're trying to do what we feel makes the most sense with all the variables involved.
wanted to add my voice to the props for you being in the thread and being responsive, BJP, it's very appreciated
