1/2/10: I semi-bluff GII with an open ended

$1/$2 live, 6-handed, $525 effective.

UTG straddle to $10. I open to $25 from UTG1 with JT, and get five callers — so the whole table sees the flop.

Flop ($150): 9 8 2
Checks to CO who bets $20 (very weak sizing), BTN calls, then SB, BB, and UTG also call. Sensing weakness, I raise to $200 with my open-ended straight draw (I block T9 and have some backdoor flush potential) representing the overpairs.

Folds back to BB who jams for $500 total… I feel priced in and call against what looks like a flush draw or non-believing 9x because this guy was very aggressive with QJ on a QT8 board so he’s never flatting $20 on flop with 2p+.

Thoughts?

BB who back jams has a very strong range including some sets, some 2 pairs, some combo draws, some nut flushdraws.

I don't think 9x plays this way.

But, you're pot committed already, yea you have to call.

Well played.

He can have all flush draws (as most live recs never raise with them) but this is never 2p+ based on reads.
