New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

For me, Walmart chicken is about 90% as good as KFC. Banquet frozen is about 85% as good.
I got KFC last night. It has a drive-thru, don't even have to get out of the car.
Walmart has a huge parking lot and I'm never 100% sure they have any ready to buy.
Banquet frozen? My oven is broken.
i do not know who runs the p4b gimmick account, 'but banquet frozen? my oven is broken' is a top 5 undertitle contender
this humor is riiiiiiiiiiight on the edge, but still on the safe side if you ask me and some of my cronies
unfortunately i do not have a cajun queen within a reasonable driving distance
therefore i must admit the kfc spicy chicken sandwich sold for five bucks locally may just be the best value on their menu
and feather pluck the current colonel if they ask for us to shell out another twenty to complete a bucket meal
Where does Jollibee rank on everyoneβs chicken list?
You can’t complain about “natural” while simultaneously consuming all your food off of plastic-dipped paper plates.
I just did... so obviously I can.
you see, I have an adult brain and I can easily make a distinction between a paper plate and the unnatural texture while consuming an hormone laced flightless bird meal.

Jollibee is Filipino not Korean. I know a lot of people were excited when they started opening them out here 5+ years ago but I have never been and probably never will. Like seeing they have a Hawaiian style burger and gravy plate but there are a million better options to go for that.
Aye Jollibee is below Walmart IMO, mostly in terms of value and blandness. Filipino people like it because they grew up with it and had zero American fries chicken ff options

Fresh Walmart fried chicken is pretty good!
Fatburger criminally underrated there.
JITB over rated.

Not my list... its some food website.
Ok I'm a dummy I've never actually had Walmart fried chicken, I can't imagine it being bad fresh, or even cold, I'm sure WMT has the process down to a science. I ranked Jollibee below Walmart, all other things being mostly equal, based on value.
I've had bad runs recently at my local Safeway on the cheap chicken mondays. One time I placed an order with the old chinese dude; be LOOKED ME IN MY FACE and proceeded to serve me the old nasty chicken instead of the fresh hot. I didn't complain at the time because I probably was under the influence, but that old chicken had what i imagine was the texture of cat food. F that guy, seriously, he knows I'm a regular
After that, the next time i tried the cheap chicken deal, it had zero seasoning. Sadge
Edit: also thanks mark_k for the habit tip, I'm gonna grab that tomorrow!

I've usually had positive experiences with supermarket chicken. They would routinely throw in extra pieces. I'm buying it when on sale so the turnover is pretty high and so it's decently fresh.
Enjoy the Habit chicken club! That thing is normally $10+ and very tasty. I'm going again on Friday (using my wife's app).
My Walmart no longer uses the tubs for chicken. :-(
is that one of the new redheaded concoctions?
was near a KFC today -- damn their nostalgia, so I opted to get some grub.
Got a sandwich (decently good. I'd say 7.6/10)
decided I'd gamble on a pot pie (pretty good and a little bigger than expected, plus very hot even by the time I got home)
tried to add free small fries with $1 min purchase but it wouldn't successfully apply in the app yet various tries.
Felt like getting a side then so got small macNcheese which I was really looking forward to... and they gave me a small mashed+gravy instead lol (Yes I checked the bag before leaving but I just quickly looked into the bag to make sure there was a side underneath the sandwich)
So naturally I took to live chat support. Applied my expert complaining techniques and received a full refund for the MacNCheese+tax and 500 KFC rewards points (an individual side is 250 pts and a sandwich is 500).
Wow. That is a WIN!
