2025 Las Vegas Summer Bankroll

Hello, all!

I'm back for another exciting summer in Las Vegas for my longest trip since I was playing full time 2013-14. This year I will be spending May 26 - July 26 in Las Vegas playing poker almost every day.

First for those that don't know me, my name is Allan Farber, and I have been playing poker since 2006 where I got started at a $0.25/$0.50 in Daniel Weinman's fraternity basement and was berated into learning how to play poker for real. I played pretty much full time from 2012 to 2014 and then took a real job for a bit until I started back at my current job in sales. Once back in sales, I immediately FT'd a large WSOPC event in Cherokee, NC for a somewhat disappointing 7th place for $17k which was and still is my 3rd best score to date. Despite my success, I decided to spend a few years focused solely on building my sales job until after covid hit and things began to open back up. I made another FT in Cherokee at the end of 2021 and decided to start playing more regularly.

Since 2022, I have played off and on with a WSOP trip each summer with over $112k on 40 cashes including 30 FT and 9 wins. I have profited 2/3 years at the WSOP with ROIs of +17.5% (2024), -21.33% (2023) & +38.89% (2022). Each year, I have increased my bankroll substantially and this year will be no different. I will be working 2 expos for my sales job this summer and the WSOP is basically the entire time between them. My plan is to play a bankroll of up to $20,000 including a markup of 1.2 on all buy-ins. Any unused funds will be refunded but it is highly unlikely due to the length of my stay and the sheer number of available tournaments. I am also open to play more than $20k in tournaments if the bankroll has some early success including possibly the WSOP Main Event. (I was staked last year and brought a double stack to day 2 but could not overcome the hyperlag at the table and busted without a 2nd bag.)

For several reasons, I will have a large WSOP focus: I have a diamond card for faster service & free parking; I can take advantage of the Bravo online buy-ins using my tournament account; the fields and guarantees are huge and relatively soft on day 1. I made day 2 5/7 bracelet events played last year. I have been very close to much larger scores the last few years as well finishing 3rd in a Deepstack going out KT<74 pre and 67th in the $800 last year TT

I have been putting the work in studying the charts and keeping up on current trends via ACR. I also recently mentored someone who couldn't read their own hand or even know the hand rankings when he started to win a $200 live tourney and several small online tourneys. My game sharp and I am ready to crush this summer!

Payments due by May 20th to avoid late collection and give me time to resell if someone back out.

I will play regardless of how much sells but I typically sell out and usually pretty quickly.
