This ratings talk is nonsense if you look at historical viewership data. Even with Celtics + Luka last year the numbers are still way lower than pre-covid. Even Lakers vs Celtics this year would not be a significant uptick. NBA is becoming more and more niche and also international, and it has never been location dependent unlike MLB. Chinese and other growing markets care way less about big market US cities, and I doubt it has any impact with the exception of the Lakers/Kobe legacy. Someone mentioned 2007 Lebron finals. It had the same TV ratings as last year's finals lol. This is all US data. Not sure best way to collect international data with how the TV model differs.

Lamar Odom as the 2nd pick in a future draft ain't walking through that door.

This is such an incredible deep cut.

Ball’s in Jalen Bumson’s court
But he’s scared to take it out

Pacers 122 - Knicks 106

This is such an incredible deep cut.

My team was way worse btw like dead last.

I wasn't very good at those nba drafts...

Killed the tv season one though! And the YouTube draft.

OKC -650 vs Indy in finals per FD

Sounds about right.

It's crazy how well built OKC is, but also how well they match up specifically with what Indy does.

Indy will try to hunt mismatches, well OKC's starting 5 doesn't really present any.

Indy will try and force points off TOs, OKC doesn't give up many.

Indy will try to force rotations through their actions. OKC has incredible discipline in recovering after a screen causes someone to be out of place.

I'm not sure what The Pacers' path to winning her is other than getting stupid hot from 3 for 4 games and/or finding another gear defensively that they've yet to show.

And if the Knicks somehow come back and win in 7, this might be the first Finals over in 3 games.

Pacers need to make it a half court low tempo rock fight vs okc.

They are clearly superior in the half court offensively.

I think Pacers can still find a way to score consistency. But their only real hope is if OKC offense just stalls out which is definitely possible for long stretches.

No, it seems to change from the strategy that’s gotten you here. Pacers are built to try to wear you out by the fourth quarter of that means playing at a ridiculous pace pretty much. Nobody does this in the playoffs so I’m curious to see how far it takes them.

Jalen Bumson?

More like Jalen The One!

He’s playing like ****ing Neo tonight!!!

Continue the bipolar posting in the thread it seems to be working for the Knicks

With respect to RT I hope the knacks win by 50 to shove it up podcast punter’s ass

Nope. Knicks in 7!

Knicks are taking it to the HOLE.

I’m McLovin’ it!

Checkmate.
It’s our fate.
Don’t be late.
Knicks in 7.

Goin (goin)
Back (back)
To Indy (Indy)

pacers looked awful but think they probably win gm 6 by 20 and knicks fall apart on the road

not saying knicks would be up 3-2 right now but jeez that game 1 loss was brutal

Thibs has hali-burden all figured out.

Zion accused of rape.

Makes sense since dude has no self control.

Dunc'd on talked KD to Wolves today

makes a lot of sense if Minn could get KD for Randle/DDV/pick, think selling high on Randle is a good move in general. He's a floor raiser but a tough fit on a good team.

Randle would have to opt-in to his player option.

I don’t know if they can do a sign and trade and have it be legal.

But Randle (with opt-in) / DDV / Conley for Durant works in the trade machine.

yeah he would have to opt in then get extended after, which doesn't seem like a huge holdup since opt in is 30m and i dont think hes looking at too much more than that to start

Randle will not opt in as his value is definitely higher after this season

is it? he is gonna be 31 and no teams besides the nets have cap room

he opts in and suns extend him after seems reasonable

It’s a pretty dull market this summer so i can see multiple teams making a play to pay him. Once Giannis sweepstakes is over there should be some movement

the talk is NBA Draft night/week is going to be FULL of action and trades.

oooooEeeeeee
