[WSOP.com Nevada] Unofficial thread
Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?
Sure. Fair enough. I'm more than willing to accept that I'm an idiot. That isn't a huge leap for me.
With that said... and ignoring my idiocy for a minute, can you please tell me how what they're doing prevents collusion from occurring?
I appreciate any insight that anyone might be able to provide me.
It does not prevent collusion but it does reduce it by giving less time for card sharing. This is active on ACR in these games and in addition they recycle folded cards preflop back into the deck in order to reduce it further.
These measures only reduce it, not prevent it because players always find another way but it is better than nothing and if anyone can come up with alternatives that could work better please post ideas.

So... I was replying to the initial answer which communicated pretty clearly by using the word PREVENT..... that it PREVENTED collusion/cheating lol.... (I know that's not what you're saying).
My point was also, I think, pretty clear... which is that this particular mechanic is practically negligible to that end. Perhaps the only tool available.... but still negligible.
I stand by all of that.
I also stand by the other comments I made regarding WSOP's general lack of attention to security issues/responsiveness/overall foresight/forethought re: game protection issues etc.
I think it's also clearly true that IF there's an issue with collusion in these games AND the only measure you implement is delaying card reveal.... including the lack of responsiveness to regular players concerns about said collusion or particular players colluding etc. that you're better off not offering them at all.
So, yeah... I'm perfectly comfortable with the fact that I'm a dumbass idiot (I again understand this comment didn't come from you)... but I'm also pretty comfortable that everything I said in the initial post re: this issue was accurate and repeated here also accurate.
Sorry for the dumb followup but I found the file and am clueless on what to do to it.
Do you copy the file and move it somewhere else?
Do you open the file and copy and paste it somewhere else?
Do you just periodically save the file and wait for times where the wsop client crashes?
Appreciate the help and response.

You should back up Notes and quicknotes.json. Just copy them to some other folder on your computer. I actually email mine to myself once a month so that a computer crash/harddrive failure wouldnt crush me.
As for the PLO delay question - did WSOP add recycler the way that ACR did???

Yea I just copy these files to a separate folder like once or twice a month
My guess would be.... that not only did they NOT implement it.... but that they would be prevented from implementing it... at least as per Nevada Gaming regulation.
The gaming device in question isn't a slot machine. It has to comply with the rules of utilizing a 52 card deck as per Nevada Gaming regulation. It would be similar (in my somewhat educated, non-expert opinion) to comparing the regulations that govern slot machines v. video poker machines in Nevada at least (and obviously it would have to be legal/regulated this way in all states in order for them to implement it).
The fact that ACR can come up with a solution such as this is the good part of the whimsy and freedom of either not being regulated (or being regulated elsewhere) 😀. They don't have to strictly adhere to each card being used once like they're actually using a standard 52 card deck.
I would imagine the client is treated similar to the way a machine would be treated. Certainly there are exceptions for poker like when you run out of cards in a draw or super game or a card is burned and turned before action is completed and shuffled back into the stub... but i think those examples aren't apples to apples.

Thank you both

This $33 satellite running right now to the Colossus next weekend is paying out $400 seats instead of $500. Dipshits

But don't worry.... they're mad scientists with re: collusion prevention lol. Anyway, im sorry that happened... and i hope they do the right thing and just pay out the extra seats and add $100 to every winner.
Any reg battling the coin mid-stake challenge? Rolex up top! Would be pretty cool if they do that on WSOP in the future..
Question for anyone who received the email promo the last week of May, offering 25% Rakeback. Has anyone heard anything/gotten any money from this promo yet? I have not.
How long do cashouts take? Sent in my info a couple weeks ago and nothing is happening.
I have a glitch when trying to take player notes on Windows PC. 90 percent of the time, it opens a blank window on my taskbar. It seems like only certain seats I can access player notes. Anyone have this issue or have a work around so I can actually take notes. That would be great thanks.
Can someone explain to an idiot like me how the reload bonuses work? On the page for the promo it reads "For every 100 points earned, we will credit your account $10." But isn't that $1 in rake? Or do they mean the CZRs online points? Is there a third point system I'm unaware of that would make more sense?
I'm on WSOP NV and they recently started running PLO-5 and 6 card games. Seems buggy as hell for me. The regular PLO-4 works as expected, but with the 5 and 6, I am not seeing any hole cards till its my turn, and a couple times, when the animation flips the cards over, not all the cards were revealed.

I quit the game after this.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app AND turned off all animation. I think this fixed the missing card problem but I still don't see any hole cards till its my turn to act.
Anyone else run into this?

It is an anti- card sharing/collusion feature exclusive to PLO 5 and 6. The issue with card not being revealed looks like a bug. This feature is on ACR but in addition they recycle folded cards pre flop back into the deck.
