1st SF puppy

No idea what I’m doing, what’d I **** up? Haha

JJM, Ward, AR, Shaddeur

Bijan, Mason, Spears, Guerendo, Braelon, Roschon, Kendre

CD, Hunter, Addison, Deebo, Pittman, Lockett, ADM

Bowers, Chig

Got a nice value on naked Nix, and then got sniped on Mims so I had to draft Bryant like 20 spots ahead of ADP lol

Nix, Penix, Sanders

Kyren, Henderson, Judkins, Pacheco, Dobbins, Chubb

Nabers, London, Hunter, Flowers, Bateman, Doubs, Bryant, Dyami

Njoku, Pitts, Ferguson

2nd superflex team, still just clicking buttons haha

Lamar, Tua, AR, Milroe

Achane, Brown, Chuba, Giddens, Corum, Keaton

ARSB, Flowers, Godwin, Pittman, Bateman, Kirk, Doubs

Jonnu, Andrews, Arroyo

3rd sf, last one for today. Feel like this one is ok for 0qb start, but I’m just guessing

Tlaw, Bryce, Shough, Cousins

Henry, Henderson, Charbs, Benson, Braelon, Sampson, McLaughlin

Chase, Btjr, Tet, Addison, Shaheed, Coker

Andrews, Strange, T Ferguson

by newguyhere m

Najee and Warren were both at 101, so I would've taken one of them, but I did end up taking Kyren.

Hurts, Kyren

Jones, Warren, Charb, Mondre, Dowdle, Sampson, Woody, Estime

JJ, MHJ, DeVonta, Odunze, Coleman, Palmer, Coker, Felton

McBride, Goedert

by newguyhere m

Sorry, Najee was at 105.

Maybe this is a spot where you just take the highest ranked player that best fits your need, regardless of ADP.

I was thinking about it more and was tired when I posted and didn't consider you had picks at both 94 and 99. I think locking in Kyler was fine. But outside of it being close to a double elite QB build, I'm just not sure how +ev the double stack is, especially with Kyler's upside coming from rushing.

I definitely think you have to lock in at least one preferred RB at either 94/99. I could take arguments for 2 RBs, I could take arguments for 1 RB and 1 WR, or I could take arguments for Kyler and 1 RB. Which I think brings it back to trying to randomize it at a certain clip for each combo.

I think it turned out pretty well. Just need the RBs to come through.

I think the 8th and 9th rounds are my least favorite right now. Meh TEs, meh RBs, upside but uncertain WRs, and the top of that QB tier (more so on UD than DK), where you don't really want one if you already have a QB or if you don't have a stacking partner yet.

I think this shows the problem with elite TE in SF. I kind of lean toward it not being very good, especially with the 20 round rosters. I think want to lock in elite QBs/WRs/RBs early on. You're not really elite anywhere, especially only having Chig behind Bowers.

Achane, Brown, Chuba, Giddens, Corum, Keaton

ARSB, Flowers, Godwin, Pittman, Bateman, Kirk, Doubs

I like this one more than the first one. TE is still strong, and you have at least one high end option at the other 3 positions.

Tlaw, Bryce, Shough, Cousins

I like this one too. Still locked up 2 secure starters with 0 QB. I think I almost always want 2 QBs that I am pretty confident with be week 1 starters. If you punt, I think it has to be with one of Allen/Lamar/Jayden/Hurts and then fill in with guys who have upside uncertainty like Dimes, Flacco, etc. Some people do full blown punt QB, kind of forgetting that you still have one spot specifically for QB haha.

I'm in 16 slows so far at various points, but I've been double tapping a lot in the first two rounds. Either double tap QB, WR, or RB, and go ahead and lock up elite upside in two similar starting spots, then can not worry about that specific position as much in rounds 3-10 or so.

The fun thing about SF is there is so much more flexibility and creativity.

This new Drafthacker feature that lets you see where people are picking players in the drafts you've done is pretty amazing. I needed to stack Penix whose ADP is 139, and I was picking at 141. Should I reach for him at 124?

This shows that he's being drafted mostly in the 131-140 range, but he does fall to the mid 140s and even the 150s on occasion. Taking that and the fact the London drafter already had 2 QBs and only 3 WRs. I thought it was worth the risk to wait it out, and I was able to complete my ATL stack.

Burrow, Penix

Bijan, Pollard, Mason, Guerendo, Ford, James, Keaton

Higgins, DK, Olave, Shakir, Mooney, Shaheed, Doubs, Burton

McBride, Gesicki, Arroyo

That is a very nice feature. I try not to reach more than 5-10 spots for QB, especially when my next pick is that close to ADP. I also try to protect myself by almost always giving myself multiple outs.

It doesn't always work out, though. I just finished a BBM slow with Bryce, AR, Darnold, and Dart, without Darnold/Dart stacked, so that team is dead lol.

Bryce, AR, Darnold, Dart

Gibbs, Breece, Jones, Javonte, Dowdle

Davante, Waddle, Addison, Golden, Pittman, Shaheed, Legette

Bowers, Kraft

I had originally planned for Shough/Dimes late behind Bryce/AR, but then Darnold fell to 200 and neither Shough/Dimes came back to 209.

Yeah having outs to Shough is another reason I wasn't too worried about reaching for Penix. Although I'm glad I got him, because Shough went unstacked 12 spots ahead of ADP lol.

Just finished my second Pug. Joined a 30 second draft to try to get a softer room, and it was, but I don't think I executed perfectly lol.

Josh, Trevor

Kamara, Najee, Bhayshul, Mondre, Justice, JK, Sanders

Nico, London, Reek, Pickens, Golden, Shakir

Strange, Henry, Higbee

First fast SF Puppy

Maye, JJM, Rudolph, Milton

Gibbs, Mixon, Kamara, Mason, Mondre, Blue, Sampson

JJ, Reek, Pickens, Diggs, Kirk, Roman

Kelce, Henry, Taylor

Sampson probably should have been a WR, but I want to bet on RBs more than WRs in this format.

Rudolph is a sneaky value right now. I'd much rather have him at 215 than Rodgers at 100.

Do you think will howard is viable in sf?

Not a superflex

Allen, Dart, Shough

Cook, Warren, ETN, Blue, Benson, Shipley

Nabers, AJB, Pickens, Waddle, Shakir, McMillan, Cooks, Dyami

Jonnu, Goedert, Theo

I forgot cooks went to the saints and was confused by naked Shough haha, but looks good

Experimenting with weird structures since it’s sf and I’m probably dead anyway haha… heels I know you said elite te sucks in this but I can’t stop myself from clicking bowers

5qb!

JJM, Geno, Milroe, Rudolph, Gabriel

CMC , Monty, Brob, Benson, Dowdle, Wright, Neal

Chase, Adams, Addison, Aiyuk, Downs, Felton

Bowers, J Ferguson

This one felt better

Fields, Tua, Milroe, Rattler

Bucky, Chuba, Pollard, Mondre, Allgeier, Hill, Neal

Chase, Puka, Hunter, Rome, Mooney, Horton

Jonnu, Henry, Taylor

by jimmymcgill8 m

Do you think will howard is viable in sf?

In theory, yes, but with Rudolph at basically the same price I don't think I'll ever click Howard. If Rudolph was going closer to Rodgers's ADP, it would be more viable. I'll have 0 Rodgers at an ADP of 102.

Here's how I feel about each team's backup.

Spoiler

Buf - I'm not sure on this one. Trubisky and Mike White both have starting experience, but I have no idea who the actual 2 is.
Mia - Wilson > Ewers, I'm drafting Wilson.
NYJ - Tryod is draftable
Pats - Dobbs is draftable but not much upside given the offensive environment.

Ravens - Rush is draftable
Steelers - Discussed above.
Bengals - Browning is draftable
Browns - Hard avoid, since it's such a mess. Too many 0 risks choosing between 4 (possibly 5 with Deshaun, since he's technically still on the team).

Texans - Mills is draftable, but what's the point? I'd rather take other backups. They also drafted Mertz in the 6th.
Colts - AR/Dimes both draftable at cost, not bothering with Leonard.
Jags - Mullens is very draftable and one I want to target.
Titans - Levis, meh, Callahan hates him but I guess he's still the backup. I'd rather take other backups.

Chiefs - Minshew is draftable
LAC - Heinicke is probably the backup over Lance, but not sure I really want either, especially since this team would probably play even more run heavy and slow if Herbert goes down.
Broncos - Stidham is draftable.
LV - AOC is draftable, though, they did take a 6th round Cam Miller. If things go south, we might see Miller at the end of the season instead.

Eagles - I guess it's McKee or McCord, but do not want either.
Commanders - Mariota is draftable
Cowboys - Milton is very draftable and has a lot of upside.
NYG - All 3 are fine, I guess, but Dart and Russ are kind of expensive. I might rather play it through Jameis at a small clip.

Lions - Hooker, he's draftable but a big unknown.
Vikings - Howell is very draftable
GB - Willis is draftable
Chi - Bagent and Keenum. I guess it's Bagent, but I'd rather target other options.

TB - Trask, no thanks.
Falcons - As the days go by, I lean more and more toward Cousins staying on the team. I might actually add him to some Falcons stacks where I don't have Penix. It could have sneaky upside at current prices. If Cousins is moved, I wouldn't want the other options.
Panthers - Dalton is very draftable.
Saints - Shough or bust! Lol. I'm not touching Rattler or Haener as contingency picks, as I've seen enough of them.

LAR - Jimmy G is draftable
Sea - Milroe is draftable
Cardinals - Brissett is draftable
SF - Mac is draftable

Overall, I want all of the backups I take to be in the last 2-3 rounds, and I'll generally take 2 per team unless I go 3 early QB.

I want them stacked, I want them to either be young guys with upside like Milton or established vets who are the clear #2 and have experience, and I want them to have good offensive environments already.

Bowers, J Ferguson

Haha, Bowers is very tempting when you see him in the mid 3rd. A Chase, CMC, Bowers start is sexy.

I could certainly be wrong on this, but I have two thoughts about it.

1. We still start 8 except now instead of a WR3 spot we have a SF spot that will have a higher average score than WR3.
2. 20 rounds makes 3 TE builds easy, especially with how cheap the TEs are in this format.

Bowers and McBride over low end QB1s/high end QB2s and elite RBs/WRs just doesn't feel great and probably kills advance rate even more while not providing as much separation upside in the playoffs.

I think this 5 QB room accomplishes everything you want. Two week 1 starters that are some of the cheaper options, plus 3 ambiguous guys who all have multiple paths.

Bucky, Chuba, Pollard, Mondre, Allgeier, Hill, Neal

A perfectly cromulent TE room. I think you're viable everywhere.

Starting to think more about overall exposure now that I've got more teams for it to matter. I still think I want 12%-15% of the players I like most in R1-R3.

Then R4 on, I'm probably going to do something between 20%-25% on the players I like most. Possibly going as high as 30% from R15-R20.

Based on current pricing, I want my biggest stands to be on these guys

I like it. I wish I had more conviction, but I'm going to keep middling 4-16% for the most part haha. As the summer goes along, some of my highest will be closer to 20%.

I'm going to fire way less on Dk, and I think I'm going to use those drafts as my conviction drafts.

This is where I'm at for top exposures for all contests so far.

I need to pay more attention to this view, since it covers all players instead of just the exposure stats you've selected for the overlay, which is mainly exposure against your high end picks.

gross!!

Exactly! Here's another example where I had to decide between Kirk and Guerendo. Both fit my team really well, but Kirk had W17 correlation and was clearly a more unique pick for my overall portfolio.
