Can you play WSOP online events while on the property? I know there used to be some weird rules playing on anything besides Fanduel while on the property.

PA gaming doesn't allow online gaming on PA casinos.

Drinks are free to active players. Of course, tips are always appreciated

Are you russian?

Anyone have an estimate on when the 100K on Sunday typically finishes?

Interested in thoughts from anyone who's played the big NLHE games in the south Philly/Chester area on this post:

Just in an abundance of caution, does anyone here play med-high stakes in the Philly area and have questions about a certain tight-knit crew of players who've been running their own lists at high stakes games for almost as long as Philly's had poker?

All very friendly with each other and play together constantly, all have terrible poker fundamentals, all supposedly play poker for a living.

There's been rumblings about them for close to 10 years, but same thing with no one catching hand signals or sketchy backraises or anything, so it's been nothing but circumstantial evidence.

I'd also say their standards for who is and isn't on their list are a little incoherent. Some quiet backpack nits have an open invite but they're grouchy about some gregarious whales.

Not trying to name and shame based on scuttlebutt and bruised egos, but think it's pretty clear from the description iykyk...

I also want to put on the record that I think they're all perfectly friendly gents that I have onthing but positive personal interactions with, so I will go on having love in my heart for them unless and until I find out they've been cheating me the last 10+ years at which point I hope they die and I hope they burn in hell 😄

I've played with those guys quite extensively back in Chester days (and have shown a considerable profit in those games over the years). No issues except sometimes seats were reserved for certain whales, which was quite acceptable to me as the games were very action packed and profitable when I did get to play.

Never seen collusion or anything of that sort in 1,000+ hours of play.

Thanks for the reply.

Other thoughts and commentors welcome.

I just saw on bravo right now that they have a game of 5c plo going. How often does this game go? Anyone know anything about it?

Based on my limited understanding, it's been pretty rare, but may become more popular. I think a few of the 2/2 regs prefer 5 card and try to get the game going. For example, I got there early a few Saturdays ago and the overnight game was about to break, but two of the players said they would stay if we changed to 5 card, so we changed, and the game ended up lasting. Yesterday, there were two (maybe three?) 2/2 games going and a bunch of the players in those games started a 5 card list and I guess eventually the floor started the game. I've also noticed that the dealer change bomb pots in the 4 card game are moving more towards 5 card.

That's good news. I like 5c and dc is too far. I've only played once at live. Is it 8 or 9 handed for plo?

All cash game tables at Philly live are 8 handed.

That works for 5c only as long as they don’t allow RIT.

RIT is permitted for 5c. My understanding is that with 5c double board bomb pots, in a full 8-handed table, one of the players must sit out for that hand. If nobody volunteers, it is the cutoff. This of course, assumes that the dealer (or one of the players) notices this before dealing.

BTW, on a somewhat unrelated note, while the room is generally run very well, they do need to clean up some things regarding PLO in general. The current rules around 4c/5c/bomb pots/single/double boards are simply too complicated and there are way too many discussions/arguments around what should be happening in certain situations so the game slows down tremendously. For example, they now have two buttons (a regular one and a bomb pot one), that both rotate around the table individually. When they meet, voila, there is an added bomb pot. That is, assuming somebody notices. And, then once they meet, what happens next (in terms of button rotations) is anyone's guess because if you ask different floor people and/or different dealers, you do not get a consistent answer. This is just one example, I could list others if someone from Philly live is reading this.

5c will likely take over 4c just like it did in Maryland which is a damn shame because I very much prefer 4c. I go to Philly just to play 4c but looks like I’ll be going back to NL once all the plo games inevitably become 5c bingo
