Pocket tens try to spear two fish

Pocket tens try to spear two fish

1/3 NLHE 9 handed

Table is a mixed bag of regs, mostly loose passives. There's a few unknowns. It's been fairly unremarkable. We're not running well and keep topping up. In for 800$. We've lost with AA AI pre vs JJ and AK AI pre vs AT. We have 450$ in BB.

----

V1 - unknown asian fish. younger and seems to be very straightforward. not very aggressive but has been running hot. bet sizing tell. proceeds cautiously post-flop and doesn't check-call large raises with marginal holdings, so a bit weak-tight. He's covering the table after he flopped sets and stacks people with overpairs although I don't really remember the details. Covers. LJ.

V2 - mawg I have a lot of hours with. He's loose passive and straightforward but gets creative sometimes with draws. He has the typical mantra of 'gii while I'm ahead' so he bets huge like 20 cold with his JJ+, AK he'll bet smaller pre to see if he hits an A or K. His range is very elastic and he won't put in "real" money without a big hand. He's been losing this session and got upset when I asked him how much he has behind. BTN. 180$.

----

V1 limps, HJ limps, CO limps, V2 to 30 OTB, SB folds, we see T T in the BB and pause for a moment and then decide to just call, V1 calls, HJ and CO fold. 3-ways OOP.

Flop 90 - A J 9

Check, check, check

Turn 90 - 2

check, V1 bets 10, V2 calls, I x/r to 75....

I'm guessing we're expecting the others behind us to overcall this large raise if we flat where we can then setmine? If so, I can get behind that. Otherwise, versus this stack size and his sizing tell this looks like a trivial fold preflop to me. Preflop result of only going 3way ain't great and could perhaps be semi-expected due to sizing.

I'm also checking flop.

I doubt V2 is slowplaying a monster any more to this sizing so he probably has KK/QQ. V1 looks weak as ****. Our line doesn't make a ton of sense... but it is still going to be difficult for anyone to continue. The only possible sticking point is V2 doesn't have a lot behind, looks like he might be tilting, and the turn brings in a drawy board that we could perhaps be pushing with our banana image. For that latter reason, I'm not sold on this play.

I 3bet pre. Now that I have decided to call and basically set mine, I just call down. I think flop is too fancy unless you are 100% sure they will fold an A.

I'm not sure either V has an Ace here. I'd think V1 would bet/f one on flop, second to act. V2 has 150 back on a 90 flop and almost certainly would bet one.

KK-QQ seems likely for V2, especially given turn action. No idea what V1 has, but I don't see a 10% turn bet with an ace. So I agree with H: why not bet large and see if H can get Vs to fold Jx+?

I prefer a turn donk though for Banana vs the x-raise. Tells a slightly more coherent story. Is a mediocre ace really confident enough to x-raise turn here? A donk would probably be a smaller size than x-raising to 75 too.

It's certainly creative though, and I hope you got some jacks to fold because of it.

Sorry, meant turn is too fancy. Yes, I'd much rather lead than x/raise. The x/raise is suspect.

V1 folds, V2 shoves for 75 more and I tank a bit then fold, he shows KK.
