I've picked my new head coach for the Stars and his name is Steve Ott.
Ott was selected by the Stars with the 25th pick in the 2000 NHL Draft. He spent the first nine years of his career there and has now proven himself as a coach behind the Blues' bench. If he wants to take that next step forward to become a head coach, the Dallas Stars seem like a logical fit.
Marchand has gotten himself a fat contract and term that is gonna look so bad for some team a couple years down the road (assuming he doesn’t take a discount to play somewhere)

i guess the wheels might finally be coming off of tavares. whenever i looked the last couple years, despite all the criticism, it seemed like he was actually playing pretty well. not great if he's now sliding toward the bottom of the list. could be a bad summer if/when they lose good, but frustrating, players like marner, while retaining guys like tavares, and domi, who sucks. and idk who benoit is, but lol being that much worse than everyone else.
edit: yeah tavares was 55% last year (#4 on team), 55% the year before (#11), 55% the year before that, etc
maybe there was something going on with him injury-wise, but i'm inclined to think he's finally getting too old/busted/slow to excel in this league
I can’t find anything to pull the trigger on tonight, but people have bet up the Panthers to -145, not super interested in taking them at that number…maybe just root for my series bet on Oilers. I feel like they definitely need to take one of these games in Sunrise in order to win the series.
