Does anyone know? Does he still play poker?
yeah i've seen a lot of people nowadays get confused at that expression :(
That's cause we're twoplustwo old
I said the freak and very weird dude line to a poster on this forum recently and was incredibly disappointed that they didn't know what I was talking about
I still use that line occasionally in rl, if ever anyone gets the reference it will be incredible.
I also read a story once that that email was a factor in Black Friday. The support agent who accidentally copied the Lederer email into their response was fired, and on return to the USA subpoenad about Full Tilt.
Who knows if thats true, just remembering from memory.
yeah he was pretty prolific in terms of mtt tv coverage for a few years and then poof he's gone
Had good results. Started playing high rollers and I think the variance got him. On top of that, once solvers started hitting, a lot of the top guys couldn't adjust and had to quit. Or he made a ton in crypto and left poker
Hey this player, Therealyoshi on WSOP PA, was winning a ton of big tournaments on WSOP pa. He won rings and I think maybe a bracelet. The site will not tell me if he was banned or caught cheating. He is up hundreds of thousands of dollars but he all of a sudden hasn’t played since 2024 according to one of the sites that tracks online poker. I was wondering if anybody
Thanks for adding the links Mike Haven. This is the guy I am talking about. I really think there was some cheating or collusion and would like to know cause I played a lot of tournaments with him. Anyone with information, please reply. I know online poker is getting reallyu big again but people still need to be informed of what’s going on but the websites will not tell anything.

Reddit guy says he let Brad Booth stay with him for a year to get back on his feet and even loaned him money and let him use his truck ( Brad's car was repo'd ) but Brad ended up stealing his truck & money. This was one year ago. Now he's back on the circuit. Wonder if he'll ever pay anyone.

I'll take No for -5,000
He says "Trying to make things right" about 100x this interview, all while still playing, sometimes very big etc.
Right right, I'm sure they'll all be repaid
Read the Brad Booth interview. It's obviously his fault that he scammed people, but he also clearly had a gambling addiction. Further evidence that if you come into heaps of cash, get it locked away somewhere safe for emergencies. If you're a true degen, it won't stop you, but might give you that extra few minutes to rething taking it out and punting it away
What happened to Dan Coleman?
Any oldtimers remember this couple from the mid β90s?I believe their names were Nick & Shirley. He was in his 70s and she was 15-20 years younger. They traveled the small buyin tourney circuit of that eraβGold Coast, Orleans, Reno Peppermill, Lake Elsinoreβand had some success. They were friendly with Linda Johnson & Susie Isaacs and got mentioned in Card Player every so often.
FMP. Sorry, forgot about this thread at 6am.
He won a ton of money in 2014 or whatever it was and retired to Brazil.
Heard he had a lot of crypto too. Don’t forget that not only did he win the $1m OneDrop, but that same year he also won an EPT $100k and the Seminole Hard Rock $5k main event for like $1.5m. I have a feeling he had almost 100% of himself for the $5k considering it was after the first two mentioned.
Yivgeny Timoschenko with a stack in the PL08 event. He was a sicko way back
True. But that gobbo thing was from like 06, that's, oooolddd.
Why does everyone assume that if a previous successful player hasn't done much in 5 years they just got rich off crypto? Its like the go to as in everyone was involved

While I agree people will probably never get paid Iβm assuming whatever odds there are they are better when people who owe money are playing large.
Have to think the odds of people getting paid back if Booth just worked at Home Depot would be zero

Just kind of goes with the territory as the overlap between poker pro and crypto adoption was massive.
The Bitcoin thread here in BFI is over 14 years old. Billionaires were made
Kyle Ray (KPR16) deep in the LHE $10k
LHE and O8 end boss on FT. Destroyer of Gus Hanson (Along with SallyWoo who I think is still unknown). I doubt he plays at all anymore outside of the WSOP championship events
John Cynn? Only the WSOP ME cash in 2022, nothing else since 2020…
Scott Fischman
There was this German guy, I don't remember his name, around 2013-14ish? Won like 10 million on PS/Full Tilt in mostly mixed games and some NLHE in like a year and a half, played some limited amount of high-rollers (PCA?), then just disappeared from poker and was never heard from again.
Think he did some podcast at one point as well.
Don't think he was part of that Cottonseed/KPR/sallywoo crew which destroyed Gus either.

You sure he was German and not French? I'm thinking of Seb86 and Alexonmoon.
