Ignition confiscated my money - my fault or theirs?
I created an account on ignition about two weeks ago and ran my $250 deposit up to $2000 on poker. I made a bitcoin withdrawal of $250 upon which they then asked for me to verify my identity. Here's the kicker, I didn't put my real name when creating the account because I wasn't sure if it would be displayed and didn't think it was a big deal. They had no problem taking my deposit right? I emailed them explaining the situation with my actual name and drivers license attached. I received no reply. I went to chat and was unsuccessful and given the run around. They disabled my account today along with all MY money in it all because of a mistake with the name.
My friend who had an account on here had a terrible experience as well where he didn't know better so requested a check withdrawal which the bank did not take (it is a foreign check from Canada, most banks don't accept this) Ignition refused to make good on the payout and basically said its your banks problem.
Their customer service is terrible and they will just shut you down with no warning and you will lose everything you worked so hard for - STAY AWAY

This is 100% your fault and I hate defending Ignition/Bovada. Almost all sites do KYC at some point. Some do it before a deposit but most do it after. Yes their customer service is terrible as well but this is all on you.
If you would have done any research on the site you would have known it is anonymous at the tables lol
Stopped playing there about 18 months ago due to the rampant colluding and botting but absolutely never EVER had a problem with cashing out with them over the 10+ years I did play the majority of my volume there.
Bodog can rot in hell for all I care but this is 100% your own fault. You have got to be a special kind of stupid to sign up with a fake name.
Still doesn't give them the right to accept my deposit and allow me to play for a week and a half before shutting me down. It's an easy fix that I showed them my license to update the name. I'll just continue to play live at my casino and crush the game then deal with these criminals.

Using a fake name is just as criminal, you are no better than the site

Sure they could've done KYC BEFORE allowing a deposit, not all sites work like that. Again, it's you who is the idiot that creates an account with a fake name. This was never going to go the way you think it would.
Ignition doesn't even operate legally in the US. You inherently accept risk on that alone if you choose to play there
Only thing criminal here is using a fake name to sign up to a service you know little about.
Another Darwin award winner lol.
