Project PLO: Road to 25k

So far we are just busy studying and we are preparing partners and getting everything setup. More content will be coming very very soon

Due to a power tripping mod editing and deleting my posts there won't be anymore updates here because anything i post with my YouTube or kick address or discord server will be deleted or edited like my previous posts so all updates will be on reddit or in my discord.

Things got straighted out with the mod and the rules on what I'm allowed to post on my blog including links to my streams and social media so I'll get those reposted later tonight. Until then feel free to find them in my profile.

Overall the huge support from the community has been outstanding I honestly wasn't expecting to get almost 100 subs in less than 48 hours of announcing the project and the support means more than I can tell you guys.

I've always been a motivated person, obviously being in the Army being a former AP, all of that takes motivation. But support from the community just pushes me even harder.

I do want to warn every one I have edited like 3 AP videos in the past and they were on a much smaller scale than this project is so we will grow together. I am current working on learning the editing software and trying to polish episode 1 as much as possible. With that being said I have 13 days to finish episode one, after that it'll be 4 days to create the content edit and post for every episode after that.

So these two weeks are of utmost importance as I need to become the best editor possible on 2 weeks.

On top of that episode 1 is an introduction episode those of you that came from here or reddit or other places I've announced my project to obviously know the basis of Project PLO, but I hope we also get some organic growth so I think it is important to at least introduce the project, and myself to everyone.

I'll be posting Tuesdays and Saturdays my Time but if your US it will be Mondays and Fridays. I will also be trying to stream at least 1 day a week up to 3 days a week but streaming is not the top priority out the gate. Top priority is high value content for YouTube and getting better at PLO.

The goal eventually is to stream 3-6 days and week and higher an editor to do videos for me. Before we can invest to much more money into the project we need to make sure we can produce and sustain growth at a certain rate, if i post videos for 3 months with 10 views obviously we can't pay an editor. If we blow up and hit 1k subs in the first month that makes an editor a much more +ev investment. Especially considering I still have to play study and we'll I got a little boy being born any time in the next 3 weeks so if it looks like I have to giant black spades below my eyes it just means I'm working hard for you guys and my family.

But any way I did a lot of work today, viewer wise kick seems pretty low so we will likely have to stream on YouTube kick and twitch when we do stream until we become a big enough brand pur viewers will follow us where ever we go.

So I'm gonna take the rest of the night off maybe do some light studying and just relax since we just got done working out and had some fresh pineapple for a snack after.

Finished up the PLO mastermind free courses moved onto the lite program with their 30 day training plan then after that probably onto the pro plan.

Been just studying like crazy with minimal play probably 90% study 10% play but that's going to be switching in the next couple of days. You can only study so much without playing. The study material im.uaing is fantastic hopefully they sponsor us soon, we've been in talks fingers crossed, and because I'm not from the Phillipines I catch every sickness that goes around and they all kick my ass so not sure if my allergies are just killing me or if I'm getting sick again but once this passes we will begin playing again. And it'll start at like 60% play 40% study and slowly increase the play percentage. I've been playing pointless micros stakes just to get a feel for spots. So like plo5 micro but it's just letting me find spots where in nlhe I'd know exactly what to do and in plo I'm stumped so those are important leaks to find and fix before we play stakes where we can lose $250+ a day if we run/play bad. But content is being made for the series and episode one release. Only thing that would hold back episode one release is if my son is born that exact day or I get super sick but it's likely allergies or a cold so shouldn't be an issue gonna get some drugs tomorrow to hopefully get rid of the issue.

Sooo decided to deposit on coin to play some actual poker today need to see how our studying has worked out and what we need to shift our primary focus to study wise, and i need some more content for July 1st.

Wasn't a ton of action during the hours I played ended up playing 1 table of plo10 and 1 table of plo25. We did end with a profit and a positive EV line so that's great but what's better is we found where our weakness is and what to focus on.

Our rfi ranges are good and inline with the general numbers you want to see but we need to look at our cold calling hands and our 3b spots.

Also post flop I'm a train wreck. In NLHE I can see a texture and know if I'm betting 30/50/50 30/75/75 30/50/75 x/50/50 and so on but in PLO I'm lost.

Obv if we have a super nutted hand we can just try to get chips in but even then am I betting pot pot pot or 30 pot pot I'm not sure of the correct post flop lines and I'm sure that's costing us money one way or another. So that will be a lot of the focus these next few days.

Also when I decided to make the switch it was for 2 reasons. The games play way bigger and there's a lot of fish in PLO and I was 100% right if u compare a 6 max nlhe table at 25nl to a 6 or in coin pokers case 7 max plo table ita crazy. Even on ignition which was one of the softest sites to play cash on before I left the states 6 max games you'd get 1 or 2 massive fish at 25nl but even PLO25nyou have guys vpiping like 80% plus and there will be 3 or 4 at your table!

This is why we made the switch and why I think we could actually reach thus 25k goal pretty quickly, I've studied enough and reviewed enough games of plo200 and 500 go see the same type of play any 4 cards fish even stupid mid and high stakes games and that just motivates me more.

My one gripe is the coin pokern33% rb system is stupid. You have to buy chp and then you pay rake out ofntour chp then on Mondays you get rb in usdt but when you buy chp there's a 5% fee? So if I buy 100$ worth of chp I get 95$ worth after fees then pay 95$ in rake to get 31.35 back so with fees rb on $100 chp bought is actually 31.35%. Idk seems like a stupid way to run a rb system to me but even 31% after fees is good rb and the rake is crazy low any way.

Oh another gripe I wanted to play today but coinbase would only allow me to instant buy $190 because I had to add a new debit card to the exchange then I go to deposit and coin and see I can get a bonus up to $500 but I took the 100% bonus up to 200 or 300 w.e it was and I'll just have to deal with that. Although 60 days playing PLO should be able to easily clear that bonus so that's just extra free money for the challenge.

Also the bankroll is limited to a $500 starting bankroll but I'm attempting to do this with smaller bankroll than that, you'll have to watch episode one to see how much we are dedicating to the start.

But we made some money today should of been a out 5x as much but couldn't win a 90%er with q card to come and had a few other cooler spots but all in all up money and +ev so tomorrow more studying and then probably some play at sometime.

I also have like 8 hours of footage from the last two days to edit as well now so that need to get done in the next 5 days or so.....

Are you not afraid of collusion? I know really talented PLO players who only play HU online. If you run 40 buy-ins below EV you're not gonna know if you are getting cheated or if you are running bad.

Cheating is always a possibility online. I have considered this and I came up in the heads up world but the problem becomes volume at that point. How many sites really offer heads up PLO? Not many so I'm limited on my options here. Today we did run horrible but it was just running bad top set with a gunshot royal fd losing to a flopped straight and top pair with a royal fd losing to a set just stuff like that.

I've considered heads up a lot because it would mean a lot more hands per hour but I don't think I have to much to worry about at micros maybe higher stakes

Well played 2 short sessions of heads up won back the 4 buy ins we lost today we got unsat both times.

BTW wtf is up with coins rb system it's confusing as hell some one explain it to me.

You have tonhold CHP which they take as rake then on monday i get 33% rb but do tou get the rb in usdt or in chp very confusing to me how they worded it seems like they overly complicated the rb system for no reason.

Cant sleep so I played some more heads up at one point today we were down $80+ after 3 heads up opponents we are +$220 on the day so a nice combination of bad opponents and running well in big spots.

Definitely feel 100x more comfortable right now with heads up because that's where I came up in poker but I don't think with the current poker environment it's sustainable long term. Plus The end goal is to build a good bankroll and a platform so maybe I can get into some of these bigger live games at the lodge and elsewhere. Rumor has it Doug poll is playing 2/5(10) super deep and some other rich guy as well and those are good spots we want to be in.

I have a long way to improve in PLO for sure but I can already see the improvements and how under studied preflop is in PLO and it is the most important street to study. So with all the preflop work we've been putting it it really has shown good improvements so far.

Got a ton of footage to finish editing these next few days can't wait to upload the first episode for you guys it's almost ready, well ad ready as it will ever be, its kind of my baby at this point and I want it to be perfect but there is a fine lime between perfect and over done.

But episode one is almost edited and ready to be uploaded and we already have left over footage for episode 2!

Regarding CoinPoker iirc you pay the rake in CHP and get CHP back.

In terms of youtube Poker content I have read some stories about YT striking and also make them age restricted. You do you but you might want to do some research before putting too much energy/time in this area.

Doing the YouTube just to document it but I do want it to look good so I'm putting work into it. If they strike me or age restrict me it's not the end of the world if ai make $0 or $10,000 from YouTube during this it doesn't matter I'm doing it to try my best at making good content and improving in a new format of poker a long the way. If it leads to better things in the future awesome if it flops so be it. That's also the reason I'm editing it and doing all the work myself. I do plan to higher and editor if the series takes off as it does take a lot of time for me to edit since I've never done it before, I'm also learning the editing software which takes time, as well as for a good 15 minute long video it takes several hours of footage to get enough to make the video happen, throw having a baby on top of that and yeah it's a heck of a time commitment.

On top of that we didn't play a ton today played one heads up session current up $300 on the series. Which is great but I do want to improve at 6 or 7 max PLO because that's where a lot of the action is and heads up is still pretty dead in the poker world now a days. So good bankroll boost but need to grind more regular tables and study more.
