2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Got a solver approved team haha (maybe not bc of w8 byes)
Lamar, Tlaw, Shough
Kyren, Harvey, Jones, Spears, Hill
ARSB, Btjr, Jennings, Downs, Bateman, Doubs, Dyami
Andrews, Strange, Juwan
This might get thrown out bc there were 2 5qb teams lol. I pulled dart and Slayton up to the 15th and 16th rd which felt gross, but kinda felt like it was necessary given the room
Maye, Tlaw, Dart
CMC, Cook, Mixon, Allgeier, Sampson
AJB, Reek, Godwin, Diggs, Mooney, Egbuka, Slayton
Goedert, Strange, Chig
jimmy has become a 3 QB bro haha. I'm just messing. It's probably fine. But when 2 teams have 5, I might have just leaned into Maye/TLaw, especially given Dart's uncertainty. That's a strong duo in a room where 10 QBs are on two teams.
Overall, 2 solid looking teams.
Meanwhile, I've decided I'm tired of not getting Burrow, so I pulled Tee up a little and was also able to add on Brown.
Since he never falls to the 4/5 on DK when I'm in the 1 hole. I'm just going to RNG whenever I draft Chase to determine if I pull up Burrow at the 2/3 turn.
I’ve secretly always been a 3qb bro, but I wasn’t smart enough, experienced enough, and confident enough to go all in until this year when the solver bros started saying it
Basically as soon as Leonne said his sims had that as an advantage I was ready to go all in haha
I like that start though as an occasional move w burrow on UD. I think on dk I’d do that 5% of the time and mostly just fade elite qb
I’m not going to do this every time, but I couldn’t help it with the 3rd dbl
Also why is flowers falling so much? I’ve thought he was underpriced the entire time and he just keeps falling. He fell to 60 here
Lamar, Tlaw, Shough
Breece, Mixon, Brob, Roschon, Shipley
Nico, Btjr, Zay, Golden, Shaheed, Doubs, Dyami
Andrews, Warren, Juwan
Pretty happy with this one.
Allen, Caleb, Mac
Kyren, Breece, Jones, Javonte, Allgeier, Shipley, Keaton, Herbert
BTJ, DJM, DeVonta, Jennings, Shakir, Doubs, Boutte
Loveland, Kincaid
I've always intuitively thought 3 QB's makes sense. I got only two in this one.
I went into this draft to specifically start off WR/WR jus for the heck of it. That didn't work.
I thought about drafting Kmet with my last pick to go with Caleb. I went with the more upside of T Ferguson. Does correlation matter with a dusty TE like Kmet?
QB) Purdy, Caleb
RB) Gibbs, Achane, Kaleb J, Trey Benson, Allgeier.
WR) Harrison, DJ Moore, Godwin, Egbuka, Kyle Williams, P Bryant, M Wilson, D Brown
TE) Kittle, Schultz, Ferguson.
There's a decent chance that both Ferg and Kmet are 0's. In which case, I'd have gone with Kmet. If you would have had DJM and Odunze or Burden, then I would have taken Ferguson.
I like Kmet too, especially with Loveland not practicing and still recovering from injury.
Rookie TEs are so hit or miss, that betting on Kmet on some teams seems fine, especially since he has a history of spike weeks.
But yeah, I do mostly want to do it with Bears pieces or with 9er pieces.
Good points. Kmet should have been the pick.
Thanks!
I do expect the Bears to run some 12 with both on the field too.
Weird spot…
Cam Ward falls to the 18th but I already have 3 QBs (Herbert, Tlaw, Tua)
I could maybe use a 3rd te but I’m set at rb/wr
Would you rather grab the 3rd te (Conklin/Gadsen) or a 40 pick ADP qb in Ward
I have pollard and Ridley (and Olave)
I’ve never drafted 4qbs in 1qb, but this seemed like a time it might be ok
I would just take the TE.
That’s a weird spot. I think I take Ward, since you have two Titans and Olave. I’d probably take TE, if I had no correlation with Ward.
Obviously tough to extrapolate much, and it’s a small sample. But in that QB scoring analysis I posted earlier from Hayden, 4 QBs did pretty well.
What’d you do?
I took Ward but it felt gross haha
It does feel gross lol.
I think it’s more of a play for weeks 15-17 than the regular season.
Haha Yeah I think at that point you do
Haha I did. It's the German Shepherd too, which is 2/12, 2/10, 2/12 and a 124 seat final. So stacking isn't quite as necessary.
Poor newguy wants 4/5 turn Burrow and people on UD are passing on 6/7.
Here's what I'd do if you want to have a decent team w/o much effort just in case it does get thrown out.
Draft 2 more WRs and 1 TE. Try to pick players whose QB is in the back half of the draft, and then turn on the Auto Pilot.
I’ll always finish my drafts, because you never know.
I don’t think that one is guaranteed to be tossed.
