New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I've been hitting the Little Caesars near my place lately. Getting the crazy bread and hot and ready pepperoni pizzas. Anyone else a fan of Little Caesars? I think a big reason I've been going is because there was one near my house when I was growing up. And I hadn't been to a LC for many years.

In middle school occasionally my dad would give me cash for lunch and it was always going to spend on that $2 crazy bread or sometimes a slice of pepperoni if I got a 5. This was the mid 90s and hot and ready was not a thing.

I have weird childhood nostalgia for Little Caesars, we'd often get that on Friday nights (back when it was Pizza!Pizza!, long before the days of hot and ready).

Get it once in a while now and while it isn't great, I appreciate the fact that it doesn't tear me up like Dominos or Pizza Hut.

There's only one outlet in my town. It's so popular there's no such thing as hot and ready. If you want one, you have to order it.

If you ever have to wait for a LC, ask them to make you one well done. An extra half turn through the oven makes a huge difference in quality.

Also, RIP $3 baconator kids.

Ya man that throwback nostalgia with Little Caesars going back to teenage days is real. I think its because it is not a chain that has locations in tons of areas. For example, there is no location in downtown Vancouver, where I had lived for many years. Ofcourse I ate alot of McDonald's when I was a teen as well, but there isn't as big a nostagia effect because I had eaten there at different times as an adult as well.

Lately its been crazy bread and the hot and ready pep for me. That pizza is super basic and nothing special, but honestly I can say it get the job done when your craving a bit of pizza. I remember I used to enjoy the crazybread stuffed with cheese and pepperoni but I haven't had that for awhile.

I may give their cheese bread a try and see how it compares to the Domino's cheese bread which I enjoy. Although shrink-flation has really hurt the size of it.

Man this was so good

Visited the King for the first time in a long while today and was very pleasantly surprised to see my old fave, the Texas Double Whopper, on the menu. Sign me up. It was enormous, tasty and worth every bit of the ten bucks it cost.

Today's Taco Bell drop is a Free Burrito Supreme w/$5 purchase. You need to claim the reward between 2pm-3pm (pdt) and have the rest of the day to use it.

With a $1 happy hour drink I need $4 more food. Hmm, maybe nuggets?

Value menu crunchy beef burrito came to $4.09 for me when adding guac (FML). Also, I found both the fire-sauce-hidden-valley-ranch and diablo-sauce-mike's-hot-honey that they charted 25c each for were tasty enough that I didn't regret the purchases, should you find yourself a couple of cents shy of the threshold.

Great idea on the sauces!

Wendy's cut way back on the bacon they put on it.
Still a great deal.

If anyone wants a $3 off a $10 order Little Caesar app promo code, pm me. Expires next Monday.

The dominoes hate is absurd, it is an $8 pie that tastes reasonably good

^^now that's a meme^^

order several double stacked tacos off the value menu - minus corn strips - and customize to your hearts content
two are much cheaper than a crunchwrap with the option of different meat on each side

The best thing on the menu for me is the Cheesy Gordita Crunch and that thing is like $5.19 here. Taco Bell has gotten ridiculous, like many other fast food options. Hard to justify these days.

I'm at the Bell! But I ordered too fast and missed these great ideas!

I got a potato taco and a cheesy bean and rice burrito (minus jalapeño sauce, add red sauce, add onions, grilled) plus happy hour drink plus free burrito Supreme

Total was $5.50ish

the $7 Lux Box is a good deal as are the $2.69 chicken enchilada burritos. agreed that everything else on their menu is overpriced AIDS.

I believe you can get the CGC in a Build Your Own box which is $5.99 (I think). you would also get a taco, chips/cheese and medium drink. But that is only available to order online.

I know u guys are dying to know the current state of ordering from Fuddruckers. So I did tonight just for u guys (from The Orleans foodcourt):

yes that is a little pink u see, their burgers are made to order and I ordered mine cooked Medium. also the pics are pre-toppings - they add them for you behind the counter Subway-style.

their burgers are OK but not $9.99 OK for one imho.

also was going to get Fatburger recently but avoided due to sticker shock. All of their burgers are like $12.99+ now. A large combo (burger, large fries & drink) is $26.99! no thx, gtfo with that price.

Did you try the elkburger?

I haven't been to a Fuddruckers in decades. They don't have a toppings bar anymore? I stopped going when I realized that Red Robin crushes them on cost, flavor and quantity.

not the one at The Orleans.

should also mention, no free refills on drinks there either :(
