Mild degen trip report
Mixed games galore. Landed on 3 hours sleep, just busted at the Orleans OE tournament despite being starting stack for … more or less the entire tournament. Maybe came in 50th out of 226.?
It got worse
Eventually got in in with 3 wheel cards, made a 7 low heads up, lost to 6543A while making 7643A, and he had a king to out kick me
Or something
The waitress who served me half a case of miller lite came over and said “what happened?”
“What do you mean what happened I ****ing lost”

So … we’re probably playing the MGM PLO.l black chip bounty tomorrow

i didnt drive, my friend picked me up in the turo he rented, deciding to pick up a convertible when it;s 110 degrees out

so he picks me up a slice of pizza, i walk back into the aria munching on it like a homeless person, get to my room, raid the aria mini bar gummi bears, and here we are
tomorrow we are going to pick up some PLO black chip bounties, go to topgolf and hit the **** out of some balls, and .. idk. last time i left it up to this group we ended up in some weird local bars where it could have gone very wrong. anyway

Ok. We’re up, well rested and sober. Decided to do the Golden Nugget $400 noon triple stud event today instead of the PLO @ MGM. Despite getting no cards and maybe scooping 2 pots, we hung around and battled for a long time. Hope we catch some better cards and make some wheels today.

Also 2 people asking me for spare change/a dollar right outside the ballroom/tournament area

Not going great. First cycle of games is done and we’ve won … 0 hands. Down to 21.1k
So … whenever this wants to turn around would be great
Turning around. Made broadway in 7 stud, but may have missed a bet on the river. 4 players in the hand, one with a paired board, who also looks like he was going for a flush draw. One other clear flush draw hanging around.
If I bet, I don’t feel worse is going to call me, especially showing AQJT with no Ks out. Guy next to me said he would have called with aces up. don’t know.

Turning it around nicely, first break sitting with about 55k. Took like 4 of the 8 stud hi hands that orbit.

67k stack at the second break. Took until level 8 to win my first hand of razz.

Was down to 15k right before dinner break. At 73k now. Won the last 3 razz hands in a row.
Started A24 vs another shortish stack, he ended up all in for around 18k before we got to 4th street. I ended up with AKQQ422 which beat his QQ55xxx he ended up with. Go figure.

Stud8, started 357, caught a 6, then nothing else. Ended with 2 pair that were no good. At 170k, 14 left, 158k average stack.
Started J44 in stud, caught a 3rd 4. Don’t improve, lose to trip 7s the guy said he also caught on 4th street. Brutal hand, -100k or so.
At these levels, you can only lose two hands in a row. So … we need to win the next one as we are maybe half of the average stack now.
Didn’t get it and just blinded off. Busto in 7th.
Made a tired mistake when I picked up 345 in stud high, thought it was stud hi lo and fired right in with a complete. Ace raised, I got a 9, and probably made a bad fold as I was so low but there was another low stack I was hoping to outlast and ladder up a spot.
Lot of poker played for $600 profit.

Playing some cash at planet Hollywood before the 1pm tournament that should finish before dinner at Delmonico.
A guy at the table just rolled a d20 in an all-in situation to decide if he should call or fold. So .. this should be fun

1/3 NL, straddle on for 6, button makes it 25, I fold in the small blind. Straddle jams for 120 or so, flips over 69o. Wins vs buttons QQ
