Mild degen trip report
Mixed games galore. Landed on 3 hours sleep, just busted at the Orleans OE tournament despite being starting stack for
Ran my AQo into a set of 8s on a 689 board when I turned the Ace.
Down to 2900, double up with 56s vs A7o but we’re on life support.
If this tournament didn’t fire every 3 hours I’d reenter as there are a LOT of new players in this.

That was quick. A5s in the BB, jammed my 8bb in there, lost vs QQ and AK
QQ player bet the flop in which he flopped a set on a QT4 board, all in for 19k, and the AK player actually called it off.

Chilling at the pool for a bit before dinner. Chatted a while with a nice couple from MN who gave me their review of the liquid pool, which more or less has a max age of 30 and I am way past that now.
Nothing like drinking $16 Stellas and burning your feet on the pool deck. Time to start getting ready for dinner, probably skipping the Weird Al concert tonight to play some PLO, then John Wick experience tomorrow.

I will be very interested to hear what the John Wick Experience is. This sounds like something I would be interested in doing down the road.
Delmonico was awesome. Been to a few steakhouses out here but the crust/flavoring on the steak was top notch.
Will certainly take what photos I can of the john wick experience and share my thoughts tomorrow. Right now we are on the list for the 2-2 PLO double board bomb pot game at PH.

The bomb pot game was a total bust. Caught no hands, totally uninvolved, bad dealers, angry players. Not the vibe I expected at all. -50
Terrible luck on video poker this morning, dropped 700 or so. Made back 300 at Aria PLO. Off to Area15 for John Wick.
No hands of real note in the PLO. Got 3/4ths of a bomb pot with nut nut on the turn with nut flush and straight, one other guy had the straight as well. Other hand was a straight forward jam-ore with AAxx and it held. Card dead aside from that.
Just won A4 vs AQ preflop vs the short stack who lost to us 99 vs QQ earlier pictured above

Off to the final table, top 6 pay. How are we still in this?!

The dream dies. Jam K7o for my last 5bb on the button, called my QJ, J on the flop holds up and knocks us out. So it goes.

Good luck, save your rungood for when it really matters!!
So … the John wick experience. I thought they nailed the decor pretty well, and not surprisingly, only a couple areas you could take photos.
Had a couple fairly simple escape room style bits, a shooting game, and … that’s about it. The actors/staff did their part well, but it felt like it was missing another room or two. When we got to the end I legit didn’t know if it was the end or not.
For those who have done the Omega Mall, which is way more wide open/time to explore, this is very straight line/defined.

Down on Fremont Street killing time until the 2-7 triple draw tournament. Let’s cash, even though we’ve legit never played the game before. I did watch 2 YouTube strategy videos so how hard can it be?

Turns out pretty ****ing hard. Seemed every time I got a 8 low early, people drew to a 7 every time. When I got a wheel on the initial draw, everyone folded to my raise.
Out by the end of level 3. I’d say it was educational but I dont think I learned anything.

Planet Hollywood is a really nice room now. Highly recommended.
1/3 NL, straddle on for 6, button makes it 25, I fold in the small blind. Straddle jams for 120 or so, flips over 69o. Wins vs buttons QQ
Straddler: “I thought your raise to 25’was weak”
ok then

and it was weak....couldn't even beat 69o!
apologies if I missed it - where are you staying/what pool is that?
Aria. Pool was pretty good, only made that one trip to it. This whole trip felt really fast, probably because I spent one full day at the triple stud tournament.
Really have to question the value in playing those. Grinded 11 hours to finish 7th in a $400 entry tournament, made $635 profit. Hardly seems worth it.
Steakhouse wise we hit up both Delmonico and Craftsteak this trip, and I’ve been to Craft several times. Frankly Delmonico kicked the **** out of it and was probably the best steak I’ve ever had. Really blown away by the delta between the two of them.
Grinding some PLO at Aria before the flight out tomorrow.

Was a good PLO night. In for 500 out for 1875
Most notable hand:
Holding Ad Kh 3d 2h and call a 10 straddle. Table is super loose/active.
Board comes out Ks 9d 3c, someone leads out for 40, I call.
Turn 5d. Villain again fires for 225, I call.
River 10d, nut flush comes in for us. Villain checks, I bet pot for like 700ish, villain tanks for about 2 minutes while I put in my best acting performance, then makes the call. Huzzah.
Heading home. Good trip, wish it was a little longer.
