Americas Cardroom exits Louisiana and Mississippi due to cease and desist
Received the email yesterday that they are leaving both states and I have until July 21st to withdraw my remaining balance. Quick search shows the attorney general from each state sent cease and desist to many offshore casinos. NY recently did this but only included sweepstakes sites. I wouldn't be surprised if many more states copy this strategy to get them to leave

Interesting to see many of the offshore sites (ACR, Ignition) that survived Black Friday and the federal government's push now bowing out to state governments a decade or so later; albeit by a slower patchwork approach.

Have to wonder what the reasoning is behind these decisions.
Being offshore, it seems like states doing any actual enforcement would be difficult.
Doubt sites would be pulling out though if it was worth the trouble of offering service to these states.
Shocking they actually care, they should've done this with the regulated states(NV/NJ) a long time ago as it's technically in the ToS you cannot play from these locations. I guess because 90% of their team pros lived in/play from Vegas regularly they looked the other way.
Still suprised ACR was never raided. They don't even operate with the gray market sweepstakes. They are just straight up illegal.

You are sitting around wondering about the reasoning? LOL. ACR is a fing scam. If I were a "pro" affiliated with ACR I'd be seriously questioning my decision making right now. Then again I'm questioning why seemingly honest people like Boski are affiliated with that site in the first place besides the fact they can't make it just playing poker ie times are tough.

Who is going to "raid" them? You can get away with a lot in Central American countries and I'm not even talking about Costa Rica. Belize is a dream for laundering money among other various activities. Just like the United States. Wake up.

During Black Friday the U.S. successfully raided Full Tilt offices in Ireland, and PokerStars offices in Malta. They do what they want, even though I don't agree with it. I don't even know how that is possible or how they obtain jurisdiction to do it.....but they do
