Opening for 12.5bb and getting called is crazy. Is this how loose this game plays?
As played, V is saying he didn't bet with fd/twopairs/sets on flop+turn ip
Now hits a 6 on river, so a set of 6's or 96/26/J6 two pairs?
I guess we can bluff catch and see what he shows up with here.

I guess he can also somehow slowplayed hands like JJ all the way to river.

It’s a $500 cap live so $25 after 3 limpers is pretty standard. Yeah only a rivered 2p or set make sense here, which is why I am curious.

3 ways definitely not. I don't play much live but calling here with action still open behind you seems crazy

HJ has passed up the opportunity to bet flop, turn and river when checked to. Unless HJ is ridiculously passive, or has something like J9 which checked flop, then I'm not afraid of HJ. I'd prefer to call a half pot bet, but you can probably throw in a curiosity call and be good enough to make it somewhat reasonable.

Edit: just seen the front door flush which isn't ideal. It's close. That might swing me towards a fold

LOL, standard where? Furthermore, the fact that you described the two callers as "loose goose" (meaning, no fold equity) makes the large raise with 88 from the BB terrible.

IME this is a flush getting greedy OTR because he's seen it check down and now wants to make up for the missed income.

Do you have the 8h? Either way Hero should fold.

Hero doesn't even beat some of villain's bluffs, if he thinks 9x isn't good etc.

Multiway
Low Stakes
Trying to pick off a bluff against someone who wouldn't peg as differentu than the usual loose pssive at low stakes

I'm folding and not thinking twice. Of course he occcionally shows up as a bluff, but this is never at any frequency we can pick off profitably.

No. That's all I need to read.

Why? 88 isn’t a raising hand these days?

Of course raising 88 is absolutely fine. You want to drive out the Q9s and KJo sorts of hands - or at least want to charge them if they really want to call.

Good luck playing OOP with 88 in a bloated pot where nearly every flop is going to suck.
