SIDES - Inaugural Game Thread
In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and diff
I really think we just go with m6...I'm not even sure what else they would guess with the v confirmers.

Kombat is my first thought, obv. Not sure if that’s legal for combat, but yeah.
V for veteran would be good, but that wasn’t offered, so it’s probably not combat.
Not immediately sure of another reason it’d be capitalized, but will think on it.
Also, I might be solo this round because PC is away.
I can sub. Not really sure what I'm doing though
I don't have a problem with a mid-game sub but that's Nich's call.
If you go back and read the first few dozen posts at the beginning of the thread you should be able to figure it all out.
Sure, you can sub for PC this turn and then we’ll just throw you in the rotation going forward if you enjoy it; this doesn’t have set number of people
For right now, you and IBD can talk out what you think our target word is based on what we all said in the thread and our clue we gave. We were only allowed to talk about the 2 letters on the outside left and right or one | in from left and right. We could only clue from a letter on outside left and right.

I think I understand after reading a few examples
all target words are nouns?
scorpion is the only thing jumping out to me with v5/v8 being venom(ous)
not sure what the H clues would be

h7 was harpoon as that's what his main weapon is
h5 is Hanzo as that's his name; that was just in case someone was a huge MK nerd and knew his name
I thought about hinting at c6 for cactus (for desert habitat) and w5 for whip (their tail) as confirmers, but felt more likely they could go awry so didn't mention them

j5 or j3 should get them in the domain, w6 is around there too
then there's c5/c6 moreso coming in from an entirely different angle to it
j5 or j3 should be our clue
w7 is a good confirmer for a different angle confirmer once they think of the target
I think my c6/c5 is similar to the w7(from w6 yea?) angle and idea, much different from the js
Not to be confused with the first w6 I mentioned which is...around the idea
C6 is good, though c5 doesn't really make sense for it, so I'm not sure if we're thinking of different words? There's also c9 coming from the same angle as that.
Both are better than j3 or j5 imo since fewer options and pretty easy to deduce what those words would be.
My w7 has nothing to do with a w6
Think of the other meaning of the target and w7 is the most common thing for this
Also c9 is a great clue for that meaning of the word
The main goal of the clue is to get the target said by them and then confirmers get them to the right one
J5 and J3 get them to say the target every time in their list of things they think of and they deduce the other so they’ll know the meaning we want bc of that…the other meaning for j3 doesn’t matter when they know we like j5 also
W7 and C9 are top confirmers but not best clues
Actually c8 may be the best clue
I mean I think they all get it, but I disagree with you that the j clues are better than the c clues.
Really comes down to which card we wanna use; either card will work for us
