Whatever it is, I'm not very happy about it lol. I guess it could be a tricky 22 that didn't raise the flop. Could even be something silly like J8, J2, 82. I think vs population this is a fold since we are probably drawing to 2 outs, maybe 5 if we're lucky.
It could be KJ or QJ, but it is often an 8. Heck, it could be QQ or KK. Vs the average player at these stakes, it's a fold until more info is known about the player. If only I stuck to that advice more often!!!
I’m not sure what to tell you, but you have made me aware of a good bluffing donk line. If villain is willing to risk that no one else has an eight, then it sure looks like he does. Sincerely doubt he’s bluffing, so you could be folding TPTK and getting out early. That’s some serious ‘fold equity’ with this play.
Players hit their hand & bet, not much chicanery going on. But I will be watching for this formation to appear around me, I might just be claiming that 8.

Exactly. It’s just such a great bluff spot especially if he’s willing to empty the clip on the river. The only thing that tilts this more towards value however is the fact that it’s 3 way and not heads up.
