deep thoughts by verlander

At least Kraft was seeking age-appropriate companions.

Kinda sorta relatively.

espn have released their Team or the Quarter Century

pretty good all round list, although I'm not sure I agree with the RBs at all. also feel like there might have been several DEs better than Jared Allen. I would definitely have TJ Watt over him but am sure there are others too

I saw that last week and was wondering how Tyreek didn't make the list. Even if it was only on the practice squad.

This was Megatron's resume.

Reek only had 600 fewer yards and 1 less TD. He's also a five-time All-Pro and the only WR to have multiple 1,700+ yard seasons.

Agree on the RBs. Priest over AP is a terrible choice.

I'd have Tomlinson and AP in there as locks. Potentially Henry as #3 over Holmes but it's close. Both of them over McCaffrey. I'd probably take Edge over McCaffrey too

Holmes didn't even make the all decade team in the 00s

Ramsey for Minkah - love it

Jonnu for a draft pick - hate it

Meanwhile, Steelers compiling a 2019 superteam.

😃

Stupid fantasy league trade that's a wash for both teams.

Let's be honest: it's Smith for Minkah and Ramsey for a 7th.

It's Smith + Ramsey + 2027 7th for Minkah + 2027 5th

Either way, Minkah >>> Ramsey.

Don't see how it would really move the needle for either team, but FD has it as

Steelers +4400
Miami +7500

PIT being that much higher is laughable though.

I think you're going to have to readjust what you think the Dolphins are going to do this year.

If they don't have a new HC in 2026, I'll be surprised.

And Minkah is a fun get, but ain't covering up that piss poor CB room.

Also, getting rid of their only legit TE and a solid weapon for Tua doesn't seem like a great idea.

I think McDaniel wanted to remove the temptation of having Jonnu and running the offense exactly like last season. They were better in prior seasons with a primary blocking TE. I'm guessing they'll be locking for a more rounded every down TE than what Jonnu is.

Jonnu's best trait is YAC, and he was the 4th best option for YAC on the roster. They have to get the ball back in the hands of Reek and Waddle.

welp...trading away the only TE on your roster and then calling up other teams to beg for a TE is A+++ GMing. I bet they'll get a real steal now.

I think the dolphins should go after Mark Andrews. Because 73.8% of big name old expensive NFL veterans end up in Miami...I think it's a CBA requirement.

Haha, I added another line to my last post right as you posted about them likely seeking out a better well rounded TE. There can't be many available at this point.

Michael Mayer and Cole Kmet will be two popular names. Mayer's upside would be a huge get.

Noah Fant sucks, but I guess he could be an option too. He's not really what they're looking for, though.

Luke Musgrave? I'm guessing GB doesn't want to give him up.

Austin Hooper? Gross but viable given what's currently on the roster.

Kmet would be cool, but probably too expensive.

Honestly though, as long as whoever they have now is good at blocking, I think they'll be fine.

Well if PIT and MIA both suck, maybe it'll be Tomlin as the new HC in Miami.

I also heard rumors of Gruden.

Still happy to bet MIA regular season wins over any team I've got ranked 15-32.

not hating, but I do think it's more likely the Dolphins finish last in the East than make the playoffs...but they do have the talent to surprise me

Not to cherry-pick #15 but I'd do a friendly ~$20 for more Rams reg season wins than MIA reg season wins.

I have a lot of Reek and the new Rams TE in best ball so I'm quasi-hedged whatever happens.

Maybe the Bears would be interested in moving off of Kmet’s contract.

Protecting Tua should be the #1 goal.
