This is gonna sound crazy, but Bucks are winning the East next year.
The east is a ****ing wasteland and KPJ, Trent, Portis, and Giannis is honestly probably enough.
Having Giannis is like having a Hulk.

It looks very true on film. A guy going coast to coast while everyone else has stopped playing is more than suspicious. He should be hated forever. Even if he was just trying to get to 20 he should be hated.
If he was fixing a game he would never bet on his team. It would be the other way around. This video is nothing. You could pull a ton just like it with tons of players where something weird happened to hit a spread.

In the 1997-98 season when the Bulls won their 6th title, they also had the highest payroll of any team in the league. But look at what the roster construction and breakdown of salaries looked like. I’m telling you, this is what we’re going back to under the current CBA. (Left column is actual salary in 97-98, right is inflation adjusted to what those salaries would be today)

Not really the best example with restrictions in place now.
Either way MJ is on $5M more than the current max salary and the salary cap is $35M more, so that's $40M to spread around and more if teams are willing to go over the cap.

I do NOT like this trend of NBA contracts becoming like NFL ones where you gotta renegotiate them every couple years when the market resets.

Solid deal for MIL. Sad to see Myles go, but that just speaks to how franchise-altering that one bad step in Game 7 was for Indy. He'll go back to struggling without Tyrese feeding him, but everyone benefits from playing next to Giannis
If Tyrese makes it through that game unhurt, win-or-lose, they just re-sign Myles and everything carries on as normal.

It’s the instability and lack of continuity that comes with constant roster churn, endless media speculation on extensions, forced parity, inequality of pay that could harm the overall product, etc.

Why would they? I like Myles more than a lot of Pacers' fans but I'm not trying to pay him 3/90?
Next year is lost, the following year is a toss up as to whether or not Tyrese comes back healthy and/or able to play off the rust.
When they happens, the Pacers will have Myles Turner and Pascal, both two years further into their 30s. Myles already is the worst rebounding Center in the NBA and his defense has been steadily declining every year for the past 3.
What sense does it make to tie the team's hands to him for 1-2 wasted years in the hope that you might get 1 contending year out of him? All for the privilege of starting the repeater tax penalty clock two years earlier than we need to? Great idea I guess.
