Hard to believe I was the last person to post in this thread. Does no one here go regularly? I'm finally actually going to be in San Jose this week. Will probably spend most of my time at Bay 101, but I do want to check out Matrix. Does anyone know much about which games usually go, and if there is ever anything other than NL Holdem?

Sun-Thur 11 total tables, usually 6 (2-3-5) and 5 (1-2-3)

Fri-Sat 9 Total Tables as they share tables with the Cal side, 5 and 4 usually. Impossible to get on during these days

If you are only in town for a short while, don't bother with M8trix you wont get a seat. That being said, the day games are much better at Bay and the night games can get crazy at M8trix due to the party/nightclub feel.

Thanks for the info. But how am I less likely to get a seat at than anyone else? What is generally the best time of day to arrive at either room?

I'll be in town for about 5 days, mostly playing 30/60 LHE. But I occasionally play NL and really like playing mixed games.

I think what he means is that the waiting lists can get quite long.

If you want to play on a weekday morning, Bay 101 is the place to go for NL Holdem (2/3/5). Typically at 9am, they will have 2-3 games going, and they will keep opening new games all morning until they reach their limit of 9 tables. So you never really have to wait long for a seat as long as you get there before early afternoon. However, Friday is a different story. By 12 noon on Friday, all 9 tables will be already going and the list will be 20 players long. By 2pm, it will be like 40-50 players long.

Does either place have a live game tracker online? I can't find any, but those call be very useful.

Bay 101 does not.
Not sure about M8trix, but I think not as well.

For M8trix, you can scroll down on the link and view the player wait list for each stake

Better than no info, but I can only see how many tables are going, not the wait list. Am I missing something?

Click on the top right (3 stripes). Than click gaming, active games, and scroll down.

Is there any PLO in either of these casinos? Or anything else besides low stakes NLHE and 30/60 LHE? Thinking about swinging by for a couple days in a couple months...

I didn't see any PLO going at Bay 101 when I was there for several days, a few weeks ago.

Matrix website talks about the games offered but I don't think it mentions PLO. I stopped by on Saturday night and all they had going was NL holdem.
