The Pokergo subscribers who are not professional players probably even more want to see the final tables with big name players.

I watch it with sound on mute for most of the commentators.

The most annoying aspect of it is they have very capable and far less tilting talent to choose from - but like everything else with this trainwreck of an enterprise they constantly mis-read the room. Norman Chad was an asset when you were on espn and had a segment in every episode explaining what a flop and turn were.

Why they insist on trotting out Norman Chad wannabes when your audience is far more skewed to people who know that a 864 board favors the BB’s range is sheer idiocy.

Hey Jesse Sylvia / Chance Kornuth / Faraz Jaka what day one are you playing? OK great pick one of the others to join Jeff Platt or Ali in the booth.

I'm sure it's the other way around by a lot regarding "far more skewed" part. They're showing a lot on youtube as well.

They get way more views showing high stakes PLO and mixed games final tables with big names than they do showing big field NLHE with randoms. A high percentage of the people paying for pokergo subscriptions are at least for profit players or at least more than casual viewers. That final table was mostly big names, and everyone with a subscription knows who Ivey is.They need to

There's only a few big names in poker right now and all of them is because they were on TV 20 years ago. A lot of the higher stake events they did show were very boring to watch. Even *I* had to turn the higher PLO ones off.

Yes those names drive viewership by a lot.

Like it or not, wheatrich is dead-on correct with each of those last two takes. Anyone who reads the chats during a live stream or reads the comments on a YouTube video can attest that a HUGE portion of the poker-viewing crowd acts like it's still 2005.

Someone was saying they wanted Bleznick to bust so he could do commentary. He 6-bet aces and lost to quad 9s.

This Remko guy is the ****ing worst. Jaffe was so so so much better.

Why would you 6-bet without the nuts?

Like duhhhh, the fold key is an option!!!

Lots of fish in the ME. Probably shouldn't 5-bet 99 to begin with.

Going to Copy Pasta 1 of my Replies on the PokerGo YouTube clip of that hand here to see if there is healthy discussion on here about hands like that this year:

"
Most of the Replies here are by insanely ignorant people.
Cunix was the one getting out of line with his Raise and AS JARED'S COWORKERS POINT OUT IN THE LIVE COMMENTARY, he'd make this 4 bet with many hands that 99 is ahead of.

Frenchie made it a STANDARD (small) OPEN with 99 and CUNIX was the psycho here with the 3bet.

BLEZNICK wanted to use his reputation to his advantage and, instead of flatting and keeping Cunix in to stack him off, he either wanted to Meta Raise to extract value from Frenchie OR isolate the inferior Cunix to knock him out.

The ONLY bad choice that Frenchie made was to 5bet his 9s rather than flat.

But given Jared's image (again, confirmed in real time by HIS OWN COWORKERS), Frenchie could easily see this as Jared trying to agro send Cunix with a hand that is (currently) beaten by 9s. So Frenchie uses agro into agro to say "no, sir, my original standard small Open was legit. I have the best hand and I'm not willing to let you steal my 1100 plus Blinds and BB Ante in order to grab the stupid Cunix 3bet chips. And I'll take your 4bet chips as payment for you thinking I will let you run over the table. Here is my 5bet. After Cunix folds, you should fold too."

But then Jared doesn't flat to keep his customer and avoid getting it all in nor does he jam. Every idiot in the comments says he needs to 6bet jam here every time but I don't mind Blez sizing on the 6bet (even though anything beyond a 3bet with ANY 2 cards in a 7 card game is idiotic but I digress).

At that point, Frenchie now has all the information he needs. He can fold to the 6bet despite the massive equity on offer. Or he can flat and access the flop now that he knows how weak Cunix truly was in this sizable Pot that is only a portion of their respective stacks.

You eliminate all the money in the Pot at that point due to Sunk Cost Fallacy and just think of it in terms of would you call 22k pre-flop while sitting on 170k in chips with 99 to see a flop? If that answer is yes, his flat of the 6bet is perfectly fine. This is NOT results oriented thinking, which is trash. Often you can pay 22k with 170k stack to fold most flops. You'd almost rather do it with Cunix hand rather than 99. But you know you're good if you hit a Set and you might even peel a turn if you hit 4 to a straight/flush. 678 with 2 suited cards, for example. Or 3-8-10DD/CC. We see the cards so 3 or 4 to a Diamond flush would've been the worst possible flop for him but maybe he gets away from that given what would likely be Jared's confident action post flop.

It is VERY clear that Poker in 2025 consists of exactly 2 types of Players/Comments:

(1) Solver nuts who never understood what those Solvers were intended to convey to them
And
(2) Ignorant folks who fail to recognize the most basic concepts of this game that were explained decades ago in books by Doyle, Harrington, etc.

Disclaimer:
All of those words were intended for the excessively annoying handful of people in the PokerGo Live Chat and Comments/Replies and NOT directed AT ANYONE on this site (which I haven't been to in over a decade. Lol) 👍

The lady avatar on the PokerGo Mobile game App is now trolling Jared and his AA KO

This 2d broadcast is straight up unwatchable. They’re talking about karoke.

Curious to see today’s featured tables - we have Ryan depaulo sitting next to Doug Polk and Brad Owen at a table with Chidwick and Matt Glantz.

Holy **** Kassouf is insufferable.

It’s so funny to watch kassouf just talk infinitely. Does this person have any self awareness? I just want to see someone flip out on him like Griffin Benger did.

Kassouf non stop chatter and re raising without looking at his hand.

Kassouf is a clown. The guy in the pink hoodie to his left looks like he's about to snap and break his neck.

That table with him on it there was a ridiculous watch, idk how someone didn't snap.

That said, I dont get the people who dont want it as the feature table. I want that table and Kassouf back on the stream. It's great to be watching cheering somsone on but Kassouf makes for an incredible hate watch. Also its fun seeing how the other players handle him.

Agreed. Looking at the people’s faces, he talks twice as much as Kahbrel, it’s fast and non stop

The people demand Nick and Ali.

My assessment of each commentator that I've listened to for multiple hours:

Dave Tuchman - still good, and a commentary legend.

Remko Rinkema - surprisingly bad, drones on about the freerolls, rarely says anything interesting

Brent Hanks - mid

Jared Bleznick - quite good, and I have no problem with him taking over the broadcasts, since his co-commentators usually suck.

Tristan Wade - never thought he was good at poker and I disagree with his analysis frequently.

Jeff Platt - nice guy, but boring as hell.

the blez is truly exceptional in his commentary.

In a world of polished soundbites and boring, safe commentary he is a breath of fresh air.

He doesn’t read from a script. He doesn’t parrot GTO jargon to sound smart. He just spits straight facts. A true inspiration to all

PokerGO truly is the nut low.

Agree blez is good - but if you took a shot every time he said “Greatest tournament on earth” you would be dead.
