one of the best party tricks i had was i trained my dog to roll over and play dead whenever i made finger guns and said bang and everyone i know his horrified at the thought of training their dog to pretend to be a victim of gun violence
Gonna call bullshit on this one. The bang bang trick is one of the easier party tricks to train for, and everyone always loved it. Thought it was hilarious, especially the more dramatic the dog would be about it. 14 years and never one complaint.
They also loved “say your prayers” and not once did anyone ever say omg how dare you teach your dog about sky daddy, you’re an atheist!
We also used to build food towers on her nose while she stayed perfectly still, and then I’d give her the release signal and she’d toss it all up in the air and try to catch as much as she could. Only rule is anything stacked on dog now belongs to dog. Very fun for everyone involved. Nobody ever said omg how dare you!

There are people like that out there in the world but they're all going to be about 24 so it's doubtful Rickroll knows any of them or is actually friends with them.
The food towers were especially impressive bc when I adopted her from the pound she had really bad food aggression and resource guarding. It took months of daily work to get her over that and be trustworthy in any situation, especially children. A year later we’re building bacon and French fry towers on her face.
I miss that dog every day. She was my heart dog. :(
Wait, those dogs look like they could be related to Huskies. I thought Huskies were untrainable.

Thanks! I loved the sunglasses too. I eventually lost them while on a jetski in the South Pacific, and they’re out of production now. Very sad :(

not one person complained when i did it with my dog, hence why i literally said "it was a great party trick"
the negative reaction was when i offered to train "their dogs" that trick in which case it was a resounding no
it's a low sample for sure, but i've had friends and family get 3 new puppies in last 2 years and all 3 were adamant they didn't want me to train their dog that trick
you may have a different experience but i imagine if you began offering to train your friends new puppies in that, that the majority would decline
nobody has ever declined my offer to train them to keep food on the nose until they hear "ok" - i've trained all 3 of those dogs that trick - it's only when i offer to teach them to play dead when i shoot them is where they drew the line

a lot of sunglass shops in cairo buy up all unsold inventory of designer glasses so you can still buy brand new glasses from the 80s or 90s there if you go to the right shop - it's pretty amazing
