1. If you go by dead innocent civilians, Israel is more evil. Oct 7th was pure evil. on the part of Hamas The Israeli response was 'overkill'. Even a former Israeli PM has condemned the current Israeli goverment of sponsoring genocide.
2. Buchanan has been of accused of anti-Semitism. Kinda like almost everyone else who criticizes Israel. Buchanan's antagonist on Crossfire, Michael Kinsley (who is Jewish) thought the charge was unfounded.

Except supermarkets and 7-11's also sell alcohol.
I do, but I don't think that means it was worse to make it difficult for alcoholics in those areas to not be able to find nearby alcohol than for everyone in those areas to not be able to find nearby food. Restaurants were closed as well.
I believe in all of the west coast they stayed closed for much longer. Almost all of the following school year.
At least this was true of the schools in Portland where I live, and those in San Diego where by nephews live.
Ugh, I had to pay to ride buses and trains near-full of very stinky people.
